blind typing, what you could do if you want to learn it, is to place coloured stickers on the letters of the alphabet, like 3 red ones, then 4 yellow ones, etcetera, and then just practice.

When I type the first word, I look at the keyboard. But as I go on typing, I now look at the monitor. I am familiar with the locations of some letters on the keyboard, but there are times when I missed and needs to look down again. However, it also depends on the keyboard or the computer I am using. If it's mine, then I rarely look while typing. But if it's someone else's PC or laptop, and my fingers are not used to the size of the keyboard, or the tabs, then I keep looking down.

I do not see the keyboard while typing. because since my junior high school, I've learned to type without looking at the keyboard. I look to the keyboard only for typing special characters or numbers. I type faster without looking at the keyboard than on looking at the keyboard.

I am very good typist. In fact, I have finished my course even in typing.
Yes, of course, that was more than 20 years ago.
But, I have always been in touch with typewriters( remember them??) and then with computers.
That explains my speed.
In fact, my friends envy my speed.

I do have a look at the keyboard every now and then when i type. This is just to make sure that i make fewer mistakes while typing.

I don't usually look at the keyboard, but I used to, because I didn't learn in school. however, as many people have pointed out, there are many free learn to type lessons online. The best ones have silly little games as well as exercises, because, believe me, the lessons are boring. if you want to learn to type faster, without peeking, go for a typing lesson that has games. Here's one: www.freetypinggame.net/free-typing-lesson.asp
but there are many.

I can type without looking at the keyboard. Very rarely do I look at the keyboard. Sometimes I'm not even looking at the screen when I am typing on mylot....and then I find my son looking at me and saying...'How do you do that??'
I've been typing for years now...though I learnt to type on an old fashioned typewriter when I was in 9th grade...I wasn't as fast and neither could I type without looking at the keys till the advent of computers. I literally lived computers when I started...and it just became a habit.

Well the best way to type is by mot seeing at the keyboard but by seeing at
the typed content on the computer screen
Generally we do not undergo typing classes separately before touching the key
board we are unable to type without looking at the key board
I personally am a victim of looking at the key board while typing but professional typists do not do like that
they are trained and skilled in typing without seeing on the key board and that is the only correct method for typing on the screen
Now hover hard I try I go on typing by looking at the key board
Well for small content it is alright but for bigger contents for blogs it becomes perniciously inaccurate and slow
all the bes t

When I was in Jr. high I took typing classes as it was a requirement. We know where the keys are due to several months and years of practice and memorization.

No, I took typing in high school and never lost it. I can type 50 words a minute with only several errors at the most. There are probably typing courses online that can help you learn to do this

I don't usually look at the keyboard. I just look when I am typing numbers or something on the top row. The letters are set up like a typewriter, so if you know how to type, you don't need to look. I learned how to type in school and I have been doing it ever since. If you look at the screen, you can see right away if you have made a mistake.

I do look down at the keyboard when I type. Years ago, I learned how to type by using a typing software. However, till today, I still have to occasionally look at the keyboard while I type. I don't think it slows me down a lot. Anyway, I am OK with my typing speed.

No, I don't look at the keyboard when I type because I took typing lesson when I was in middle school. Back then, we were still using the bulky typewriters and computers were still very very expensive. Some people are amazed when they see me typing really fast without even looking at the keyboard or even the monitor. Now I am the one who is amazed at the ability of some teenagers to type messages really fast on their cellphones without even looking at the keypad or the screen. I guess in our younger age we are able to acquire skills much more easily than when we are old.

No. I tripped one of my supervisors out by keeping the keyboard tray under the desk. Most people pulled the tray out, but that makes one further from the screen. So I preferred the monitor near the front edge, and with the tray underneath the desk top, I can be as close as comfortable to the screen.

Yes i still look at the keyboard when i type because i am not the person who are very fast in typing and also the type of person who knows all the keys. But I know that as long as i am typing everyday, eventually i will memorize all the keys in the keyboard.

just remember the location of every keys... then you don't have to see the keyboard.
I still have to see when I type numbers with the right side of the keyboard.
It may take some practice.
There should be some software or game for people to practice.
The more you use, the more you get proficient.

it's been 7 years when i start my job. and it is more on typing methods. by encoding paper works and documentation. and because of this i am already familiarized the
keyboard. and it is useful to me specially when i have many works to encode. most efficient to me if you familiarized the keyboard to make you job finish in a small period of time..

Now I type not looking at the keyboard. The best way is that you must type everyday, after long time you will remember all the keys of the keyboard and can do it not looking at the keyboard. Work hard and you can do it!
