give some reason if the online games is too bad to the children. and why other children addicted to online games? for me online games is bad to the children because sometimes if the children addicted to that may be this is the reason to forget some homework and this is way to forget his/her studying. this is the reason to some children that they did not graduate. so in the future he/she is addicted to the online games.

On line games whether educational or for fun is not..
yes not good for kids... especially if u only have one monitor at home..
once they knew the wonders of the net they'll eventually get on ur nerves..
they'll constantly poke their faces onto everything your doing..
they'll irate you to the extent and ask for their turns..
cant they just run along and play outside like the good old days..????!!!!
so i can be at peace....

i guess online games are not bad for children, if they play in moderation. rather thinking about the negative effects of online games, we can also use these games to their advantage. for example, for being punctual or getting higher grades, we can reward them to have extra time playing. and for me, i also think that games also has advantage to players, coz it lets them practice their reflexes and how they quickly respond to a certain situation within the game. games are not bad at all, maybe its just in the manner of how to use it.

I think it depends on what kinds of games the children play and how much time they spend on playing games. Some of the games are a great way to learn something like math or how to spell, and some of the educational games are fun and addictive. Many games are in English, and if English isn't the child's first language, they can learn something by playing the games, I know that my brother has learned a lot of English words simply by playing games.
I think that games are often useful and a way to learn, but at the same time, it is important that the child doesn't spend too much time on the games, because then they might neglect other areas of their lives.

I think it depends on the child and indeed the parenting. I let my child play online games but the vast majority of those are games that encourage reading and math skills.
Children will try and get away with whatever they can, so parents need to play an active role in their kids lives so they know if they are doing their homework or not.

Online games help children to gain their memory in remembering things. But in long run it may addict them and slow down their studies.so it all depends upon how they handle the games. Also the responsibility lies on their parents in making them fit and healthy not only physically but also mentally.

It's not bad, as long as children are given a certain time limit to how long they can play an online game. Of course, if they try to play beyond the time limit when nobody is looking, then you may have a problem.
So to me, online games could be both good and bad for children.

no,that's not true online games is not too bad, infact i like online games. its a great time pass, some having interest, sum plays for comprtitions.its just a change of mind other than studies.every one needs mind rest or refreshment, so plying games its a better way to change ur mood.parents said not to play bcoz they think their childens take more interest in games rather than studies, datz y they do not prefer.
i, too a great lover of online games. so in today's time itz not bad.

Online games themselves are not bad. In fact, they can be very educational and can help stimulate the mind of a child, to allow them to think in different ways. The problem is that the online games are not played in moderation. They can be addicted to them very easily and thus there schoolwork takes a back seat to their online gaming. Of course, adults can be like this too but it does seem to be a bit more of a problem for children.
It is up to the parents to make sure their children get what is important done first. Enforce that their work has to be done before playtime. Then and only then will they be allowed to have their fun with online games. Unfortunately, there are many parents out there who do not take an active role. Thus, online games is only one extension to the true problem with many children. Inattentive parenting is of course that problem.
