maybe he is just a late developer. never had i heard that you can teach a baby to crawl. it is a natural phase that some do early and some do it late. since he is just a baby, during vaccinations, ask the doctor to be safe.

hi I have had three children. One never did crawl. Went straight to holding on to the chairs etc to learn to walk. My youngest daughter did crawl but only to fetch things! and my third child never crawled forwards only backwards.
They are grown up now and it never affected any of them.
Let him do his own thing. He will have you running after him in no time and then you will be wishing back to those days of knowing exactly where he is lol x

Make sure you enjoy every moment of it too as believe you me they grow up oh so fast but these memories will stay with you forever so make sure you enjoy it all even though you may be absolutely tired out as one thing for sure is that there is no better job than being a Mum x

lol..! yeah if he is on the floor he is stuck but if i put him on his bouncing toy car ..diiinnng!! he is really happy jumping all the time as the toy car bounce too. like I said if he is on the bed, he roll anywhere. he utters different sounds and some two syllable words.raised his two legs then roll again until he gets tired and sleep.! babies are so cute watching their own acrobatics..

Personally, i don't think you have to worry at this early. Crawling is something babies do without coaching or teaching them. When you put them in his tummy, he will crawl, when he is ready. Maybe by now, its too early for him and he is not yet ready. Don't worry, don't rush things. He will, soon. In his own time. Which I think is not very far from now. Just be patient. He will learn to crawl by himself. That is something he will learn when he will eventually want to move and so he will do it by himself. :)

Kids just learn to crawl and walk on their own. Try to dangling his favorite toy in front of him but out of his reach. He will try to reach for it and find ways to get to it. Sometimes, kids just skip the crawling stage and start walking.
I have a nephew who crawled not on his tummy but on his hands and feet. He would raise his foot high, make some practice push in the air and then launch himself forward. It was so cute, as if he was getting ready for a sprint.

I think you don't have to worry about this. My son started to crawl at abot eight month. Some kids don't crawl at all. I think your baby will start crawling and walking when he's ready for this and it's not good to push him, because that can be dangerous for his bones. At age of 6m the doctor have told him to put him to sit. I think it's too early for crawling.

dont worry your baby would learn to crawl on her own. she just need some time. or if you wanna motivate her to crawl, put her favorite toy away from her, about half meter.then she will try to get it by crawling.goodluck

Some babies don't crawl at all. If your son is already able to stand he may be confident enough to take a few steps when he gets a little older.
If you do want to try him crawling, lay him on his tummy on the floor and put your leg behind his feet so he has something to push against to help him get up onto his knees. I'm not saying it will definately work but it has for some friends of mine.

I don't have any kids but maybe you should try crawling and ask him to join you. I know it sounds strange but I think it would work. I'm not sure how old babies start crawling or walking but most people say that boys are a little slower then girls so if by 6mo babies are supposed to be crawling maybe he's just a late bloomer.
