When things go wrong, who do YOU really blame, and why?

I find it very curious that when something really bad happens--i.e., a sudden death in a family, natural disasters, wars, etc.--most times the first response from many people is to blame God for the outcome. Yet, if God is benevolent as the given "good" being the creator of all things, then it should hold true that the devil is the complete opposite.
When Lucifer (the devil) was cast out of Heaven along with numerous angels like him, he was banished to earth as IT'S ruler until the end of time. That being the case, which most Christians have come to understand, then why not blame the devil for trajedies? Why should God be blamed for all human trajedy when He is the creator of all things? I'd like to know what you think...

First off, welcome to mylot. I wish you the fantastic and educational experience that I am having at mylot.
Whom do I blame? If the consequences are due to my bahavior, I holde myself resposnible. If it is something that someone else did, I still hold myself responsible. Why, because it is not the event that creates my emotion, it my action to the behavior. In other words, I am responsible for either the behavior or my reaction towards the behavior.
God bless you

While watching television this morning, I heard Creflo Dollar talking about problems that arise with translating the Bible. I believe he said one of the problems was with the tenses so that the way things are translated into English makes it seem as though God causes bad things to happen rather than allowing them to happen. I've known Christians who in times of sickness, accidents, financial disasters, etc. will pray, "If it be thy will, heal or provide, or do whatever is needed." I should ask these people, "If it's God's will that you be sick, or injured or broke, why are you praying to Him for deliverance? Aren't you going against God's will?" Of course it's not God's will that these things happen to us, and through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ, we have been freed from those curses. The problem is we seem to believe in the power of Satan more than we believe in the power of God. People need to search the Scriptures to see just how blessed we are through Jesus Christ.

I blame myself for being such an idiot, clumsy, or whatever depending on what went wrong. I blame myself for being so stupid as to not believing my parents or whomever warned me. I also blame Satan for tempting Eve, and being a more intelligent being was able to trick her. I also blame the one who caused it, so since God created good, then why blame God. So if something goes wrong, it is my fault, the fault of the person who caused it, but most of all it is the fault of the devil.
