I used to use Adobe Photoshop, but since there's no Photoshop installed on my laptop, I just use GIMP and Paint.NET for major photo editings.
GIMP is just like Adobe Photoshop, it has almost all the features that Photoshop offers. On the other hand, Paint.NET (it's different from the MS Paint that's pre-installed on Windows computers) is more flexible and hassle-free when it comes to texts and just simple designs.
I also use Google Picasa for minor editing like lighting, saturation, contrast, temperature, tint, etc. It's really nice because it's easy to use, not complicated, and is really effective.
So what do you use to edit photos, graphics, and images?

I use several programs for graphic manipulation, it depends which system I am using.
When I'm using the main PC I use Adobe Photoshop which sorts most of my needs.
When I'm using my laptop I use Artrage, Ashampoo Photo Commander, Corel Paint Shop Pro and GIMP
When I use my netbook I use GIMP Portable and Ifranview.

I use photoshop on our desktop as it is needed for the freelancing work I do.
On this laptop I have gimp which is installed when the operating system is installed (Linux).
On our older computer,I used to use paint shop pro .
I have a thing called photo pos on the windows laptop which is quite nice and is free if you search for it online. It is in pro version or lite but last time I downloaded it, the pro version had become free.

hi jeeyah,
Aside from photoshop, paint and picasa, I use online photo editors which doesn't need any installation. My favorites are picnik.com and lunapic.com but, I guess my ultimate favorite is the latter. Lunapic is one of the site that I find easy to navigate and has lots of option in editing your photo. I've made some notes on this on my other blog, hope to help you on this one http://ulivelovelaugh.blogspot.com/2010/03/photo-editing-free-online-photo-editor.html
Another one is fotoflexer. I prefer online photo editor as of the moment because most of photoshop and illustrator requires you to purchase the tool after trial period. But as soon as I have the doughs LOL I would definitely buy the latest adobe illustrator and photoshop because I uber love to draw and edit photos.
Happy Lotting!

I have always thought that Adobe Photoshop is the most complicated editing software. But it is the one that is highly recommended in doing complicated image editing online. I have tried adobe before but i was having a hard time getting familiarized with some of its features like the lasso tool, although i can say no software has outbeat adobe yet when it comes to lasso editing.
I use a combination of photofiltre, fotoflexer, blibs.com, paint and microsoft powerpoint.
Im gonna check out the softwares you have noted in your discusion here, and lets see if i can make use of it .
Thank you.

I really miss Adobe Photoshop. The first time I used it, I was really confused, but I eventually learned to work my way around it.
I shall try photofiltre, fotoflexer and blibs.com :D And, MS Powerpoint? How does it help in photo editing? I use it for slideshow presentations, but idk how you can use it to edit photos.
Thanks, too! :)

I use several software, depending on what I need done. I have Corel Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Photoshop CS3, at the same time. I started processing my photos through Adobe Camera Raw in photoshop, but very recently I've been using the Fix options in Windows Live Photo Gallery. It's so much simpler there. I finish off with my Paint Shop Pro. :) I've heard so much about GIMP and Paint.Net but haven't actually tried either one.
