I think that oatmeal for lunch and for dinner is not quite good for the health. It doesn't give much nutrients that we need in our everyday life. It would be better if you substitute oatmeal on either dinner or lunch but not both to ensure that you stay healthy while trimming your weight down :D

Yes it is good but I wonder if it is really best to make it as a replacement for rice especially for lunch. Isn't it that lunch has big plates in order to eat a more heavy meal to sustain during the day? Then again correct me if I'm wrong.
Try also Quaker oats instead of the nesvita. Their flavors are more variable.

This story of yours reminds me of a scene in the movie "The Notebook" Noah's father once asked Allie if she wants breakfast but Noah argued and said. "Dad it's 10 in the evening."
Dad answered, "You can eat breakfast any time of the day you want." Haha.. Classic!!
