Glenn Beck…. Crying all the way to the bank… By Lacey Rose… Forbes Magazine April 2010
Article: Glenn Beck Inc. Inside the Cash Machine
With a deadpan, Beck insists that he is not political: “I could give a flying crap about the political process.” Making money, on the other hand, is to be taken very seriously, and controversy is its own coinage. “We’re and entertainment company,” Beck says. He has managed to monetize virtually everything that comes out of his mouth. He gets $13 million a year from print (books plus the ten-issue-a-year magazine Fusion). Radio brings in $10 million.
==============================================
Another 9 million from other sources. Glenn Beck is a money machine and millions of people are buying his negative controversy slanted comments.

That sure is a lot of money. Next time you want to bash a baseball player, or football player getting a huge contract remember how much Glenn makes.

I've known ball players who have worked other jobs in the off season. One of the Royals used to work with my friend's dad at Penney's but they fired him because they thought people would come to see him and not the furniture he was selling! LOL
Honestly, if the player is worth it to the owner of the team, that's their business and more power to them.

I use to like Beck when he was a normal guy. He has turned into something entirely different now, and I can't stand to listen to him. Maybe it is the money that turned him into what he is today. But, I did like the only Beck.

Oh my...he is making money...sense when is that a crime? YOu know Obama made millions last year off the books he wrote. That does not bug me either.
They are making a living. If people did not like what they were selling...well then they would not make any money...so obviously a lot of poeple like what both has to say...so therefore they are making money off it.

Don't you mean the books that were ghost written for him?

Love em or hate em. He is well with in his right to earn a living. I just wish I could do that. He must be doing something right that he is making that kind of money

I'm not really a Beck fan. Personally, I don't like the uberloud-mouthed types. The yelling, crying, clown-like, over-the-top stuff juts puts me off.
However, every single time I've ever watched or listened to Glenn Beck, his message has been insanely positive, urging people to get out there and return to doing the things that once made our country great.
So, if a person is more on the progressive side, wanting to keep going the way we're going, Beck is probably the most "negative" person in entertainment history. But if you're the type to wear the "American exceptionalism" label proudly and want to get back to small government and small business and personal freedom, then his message is certainly roses.
Maybe I'm missing something by watching and listening in context instead of clip surfing for stuff that stands out as negative. My loss, I guess.
All that aside, I can't get over what celebrities make in America. It's seriously insane. Baseball players, actors, activists -- eesh!
