Where do you get the material for your paintings/drawings?

as for me, I hate to go to the town for shopping I search amazon a lot, and found some cool and cheap stuff there.
do you prefer order online for colors, coals, pencils, sketchbooks ect....or you prefer to go to a local shop....and why?
