What is your idea of fun on a Friday or Saturday night?

As I'm writing this, it is late Friday afternoon. A lot of people make plans on Friday nights, and then more make plans for Saturday night. So what is your idea of a good time or fun on Friday or Saturday night? I have some great memories of Friday and Saturday nights before I got sick. After I got sick I could still count some weekends as fun, but not nearly as fun as before. Anyway, what do you think?

Friday and Saturday nights are the same as every other night for me. I used to go out every Saturday night and most Friday nights but those days are LONG gone. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 10 years ago so that greatly reduced my "good times". But, before that, I'd still have an occasional Saturday night out. Even now, if I'm asked, I'd love to go out to dinner or a movie or even a dinner party if my symptoms aren't flaring. My days of dancing, roller skating, ice skating, bowling, etc. are over but I have some awesome memories.

I love the good times you give to me! AND, I didn't fall off!!! Hey, here's an idea, when the time comes, you can cross my left leg over my right and I'll do the same for you. How's that sound? (Sounds kinda like Twister to me but I bet you have a different vision in your head. )

Although the old carcass is broken I still love going out clubbing with my friends. We often go to a gig at the goth club, live music is still the best.

A night out with my friends or at a friend's house or a night out with a boyfriend like maybe to a movie or out to go bowling or to go out to eat. I use to enjoy going out myself until I got sick myself. I don't see any of my friends to much anymore they are all married or have kids. I still talk to them though all of the time so we do keep in touch.

In my end here, our weekends are on Fridays and Saturdays. So during Thursday nights I do have some routine activities like washing dirty clothes for the whole week and at 8 in the evening I have to go to our church center for a group prayer. After the prayer then I will be home and will have to watch movie with my husband. On Fridays, I'm just at home the whole daytime and when 6 in the afternoon come, I will have to go to church to attend our Friday fellowship. After the fellowship my husband would pick me up and then we will go out for dinner and after dining we'll just stroll around the city. Sometimes we go to some theme parks and have some rides and have fun or just go to the mall and do some shopping. There are also times that we will have to attend to some functions and special gatherings which are normally held on Friday nights because it's weekend. Friday nights are indeed the best night for me in a week. A night when I can have fun and I can truly feel relax cause I'm away from the stress and pressure of my work.

Many people look forward to the weekend. They may work all week and now is the time to relax and unwind. Going to clubs could be their way to spend a Friday or Saturday night. i am typically a homebody. i would rather stay home and watch a marathan or horror flix. I could easily go for that.

I like having Friday nights just to stay home. Many times in the winter I get my little granddaughter for a sleep over...in the summer we do some camping when I am not running around. Sat. I usually do have some plans....visiting relatives or shopping or doing a craft show.....Sunday I like to just sit around and relax and catch up on extra projects.

It has been so long since I have been out on a Friday or Saturday night I don't even know what fun is anymore. I can't even remember the last time I went out anywhere without my kids. I usually just sit at home and do whatever on weekend nights. Last night I was so pooped from being out all day with the kids and a friend and I had a headache, so I laid down in bed for a little bit and then chatted with my sister on the phone for about 2 hours. Exciting huh?

Fun to me would be when my kids are asleep and I can Wii or cuddle + watch a movie at home with hubby. But that is rare... anytime alone w/ hubby period. We didn't do that much before we had kids but the idea is we could if we wanted to vs right now we can't.

I never had fun anymore Friday or Saturday nights since I had a new job which Saturday is still working day. I work far from home. So Friday nights are like normal nights. Then I go home aboard a bus every SAturday afternoons and arrive home late so I hit the bed instead. But there were occasions when some of us at work would go out any night for that matter and sleep late but get us early for work LOL

I consider going out to eat on Friday Night fun. I used to go out to eat every Friday Night. Due to my expenses, I've had to cut back to just going out about 3 Friday Nights a month. Some restaurants around here have karaoke on Saturday Night now and I would like to take part in that sometime, as I love to sing. I may just go out to eat on Saturday Night that particular week. I'm sorry you can't have as much fun as you used to on the weekends. I hope it won't always be like this. Kathy.

I don't mind going out alone all the time but it would be more fun if I had a boyfriend. Kathy.

My idea of fun are watching good movies at home together with my family or going out with friends but the get together with my family is still the best. I am a homebuddy. I do not want as much as possible going out and spending money. but if some of my friends will treat me all expense I will go. I don't mind spending money for transportation. Fun with me is spending a day with your loved one, doing unique things together or doing things worth both of your time. Yes I am a boring type of person.

Since I am a student and a teenager with overprotective and strict parents, right now, I am grounded and I don't usually go out on Friday or Saturday nights, I cannot go out on nights but someday I would always come out and party on weekend nights. So right now, the only idea I have on a Friday night was just just to sit in front of my computer as long as I can.

Hey...dear Ambie, I shouldn't even be responding here...as this must be a question for the YOUNG folk. Fun...for me on a Friday nite..or weekend..is knowing my son is coming home for the weekend..AND WATCHING him have a fun time. A nice bath...the phone NOT ringing...and a GOOD movie. I used to be a very social person, but I think I used all that part of me up...so have a FULL book of memories to entertain me! When I was younger tho...a whole bunch of us (friends) had what we called the Finders Club...and every second weekend..ONE person was appointed to find something new to do..or a variation thereof..and it was always outdoors..Winter--winter sports...Summer-camping at new places! Always a great time! Take care..and Cheers, dear Lady!

I think one can have fun doing many things, whether with other people or even at home. If you enjoy it then it's fun. Doing things with friends Visiting family members Going to a movie Going to a wedding Going dancing Watching a program you like on TV What health challenge are you dealing with?

I was in a car wreck about 11 years ago. I had a burn on my upper arm, and I knew I had damage to my neck and back. The burn required surgery, but it's fine now. However, I didn't know the long term effects I'd have with my back and neck (I knew the damage, but was told it wouldn't get worse). In the past 13 months I've had 8 back procedures (2 of them officially surgery), and 3 procedures on my neck. In addition, I've had migraines since I was eight. However, after the accident the migraines became chronic and I average about four a month. Sometimes they send me to the ER because the prescription migraine medicine doesn't work. I also have fibromyalgia, but it seems to be in remission. I think I haven't had trouble with that health problem in about a year and a half. That's good. I wish I knew how to dance!

Thanks for filling me in. Glad things are improving in some areas. Maybe one day you'll be able to take some dancing lessons. I wish you well! I find that since I drink lots of water I rarely gets any headaches at all.

I used to go out a lot when I was younger and childless and it was great until I got completely sick of it! These days I don’t go out all that much and if I do I prefer a nice movie and dinner instead of a noisy bar or club. Most Friday and Saturday nights are spent with the family, during the summer we have picnics or go fishing and that is about it and it is all I need to be happy.
