I am not a expert in depression if I were you I would research it on the internet and see if there are any support groups or websites where you as a friend can see what steps you can take to help them. They might not be ready for help but there may be things you can do to just support them and lead them into the direction to get help. Just be there for them as best you can. Let them know they are not alone and you will be by their side until they beat this thing or get the right meds to help them cope.
Hope things work out for you and your friend.

You are welcome and I hope you find some tips that will help you. That way with all of your good intentions you won't say the wrong thing or do the wrong thing not knowing. I was helping someone on here with some very serious issues and one day I was watching Dr Phil and he had that subject on his show. There was one thing I was doing thinking I was helping and it was the wrong thing. I did get info from that show and passed it on to the person so they can get the help they needed.
Great thing about the internet you can get a lot of info to help someone in need 24/7.
God Bless

Hello I am glad to see you here my friend. This is a good community for all. Here you landed to the right place.
Depression, that's normal I guess. To overcome try to unwind, visit some nice places or for women I believe shopping is best way. But if financial aspect make's your depression then relaxation and excursion are alternatives to shopping spree hehehehe.
Roam around mylot for sure you will enjoy and forget boredom.

Yes, many women are being depressed. If I know someone who is depressed I try to talk to her to release her emotions. I take her in a comfortable place to open up with her problems.

Well, to fight any depression is to talk and share their sorrows to their friends and never keep mind idle. As idle minds is devils workshop and this can cause the depression. So always concentrate on hobbys or work to get rid of depression.

Hi maylen! What we would do is take her on a vacation (away from town, at least) and will let her realize that there's more to life to enjoy without verbally saying it. If she decides to say her feelings out, don't stop her, just listen and just be there for her. People around can help her cope up with her situation by simply "being there". The presence of her friends and/or family is a big step to decrease her depression.
