Now that Congress has passed a bill to extend Unemployment Benefits for up to 2 years do you think it is a good ideas and what will it cost you? Fox news has a taxpayer calculator that will show you what your portion of a specific program will cost you as an individual taxpayer. Go to http://www.foxnews.com and click on the "It All Your Money". You can also select different programs and find out how much your portion is.
How will this new bill effect business? I was talking to a small business owner who employs about 15 people for this professional office. With this new bill their total UCI tax will cost the same as the salary of one employee. If revenue does not increase then they will have to lay off one employee. If this is how it effects one small company how does this effect a large company and how many more unemployed will we see in the future.

Well - for sure something has to be considered for those in a lengthy time with no job. My son was laid off of a 17 yr. job, the day after his daddy passed away. How's that for something extra to deal with!?
But thankfully he found one about 6 weeks ago. He was jobless for about 9 mos.
I think some more of our government agencies should have their funding cut - like the endowment for the arts, and the enviromental protection agency, and a few others as well.
And the President could afford to give up his salary for a year or two. He has plenty to live on.
The stimilus package should have had funds included for unemployment, medicare, soc. sec. and vetran's benefits, instead of a lot of fluff for political cronies, union exects, and other garbage, like one of Pelosi's projects: research for the salt water marsh mouse - how assinine!!!

No, it wasn't.
By extending unemployment he just gave the unemployed an incentive to not look for work.
Lost productivity means lost revenue for the economy, which means even more lost jobs and business closures, which will only make things worse.
Leave it to a liberal and a community agitator to not recognize basic economical factors.
