I consider education as an important tool in life that determines a person's future. although not all educated people are successful, most people who go to school and finish college education have better chances of landing better jobs. Education makes a person smarter and more skillful of doing things, thus allowing the person to have better opportunities in the work force. education is important in various ways e.g it broadens my mind, enables me to think and plan properly, gives me an advantage to explore better grounds in terms of discovery and in addition; education is the bed rock of this world because without it information and data cannot be understood.it is very necessary to the whole world especially the youth who are the leaders of tomorrow.

Hi friend, education is very important in one's life, because it develops an individual and makes one able to differentiate between good and bad.Education helps in one's character building also. Getting job or earning money is not always connected to education, there are many cases where, an less educated person earns much more then educated, there are many other reasons affecting what you earn. Happy mylotting

continouos education in the future to come is how important education is. We may look ignorant if we are not educated., we may not know how to read and write. Education is our ticket in order for us to speak our rights and share our ideas and thoughts..one of the best asset people can have.

I agree that education is important. But not everything you know in school will be useful in your future career. Most of the time they are useless knowledge, only adding burden to the students and more time learning, which could have been used in mastering those that are very important--such as writing, reading, language, and mathematics. Elementary educations should only focus on these four. High school may start getting basic subjects that will include the sciences. The last two years in high should provide electives on career-specific subjects such as the sciences for those planning to take biology, pharmacology and medicine.

My views on education? Well, it depends on the kind of education. An elementary through high school career? Important. College degree? Nearly useless compared to experience. After high school ongoing motivation to learn? Extremely important. I've been to college twice, however, I don't have a degree. I went to college to basically make my parents happy, as they claimed I needed to have the "experience." It was one of the worst experiences of my life. Not only was college a breeze with the actual learning of information, but the approaches they had to learning were all wrong. College was the biggest waste of time I've ever been through. I learned close to nothing and earned straight A's without feeling it was actually challenging. For certain careers, sure, college is helpful. I started a real estate business when I was 15 and could have gotten a degree, but why? I already have six years of experience in the field, now having the business for six years. One year of experience, in my personal opinion, is worth more than four years of college will ever be. If I ever need to hire another person for my business, I'll be looking for those with motivation and experience, NOT a college degree. In total, I spent three years of my life in college. Two years was for a major of dietetics, and one was for financial advising. Out of the dozens and dozens of classes I took, two were related to the major, in three years. College is a rip off. Perhaps they teach you a fraction of what you need to know, but miniscule degrees actually allow you to get experience (I can only think of geology degrees that do this), and yet most companies require degrees for positions. Degrees over experience...what a fun way to run a company. In short, motivation and the willingness to learn is the best education out there. I often research and learn about things I love to learn about. Meterology, astronomy, geology, etc. If you are earning a degree, the only way to make use of it is to go above and beyond the criteria whilst you're "earning" it. Overall, my personal opinion is that a person without a degree isn't uneducated...they may very well be more motivated than those who have to actually go to a school to be qualified for a certain job position.

education is the most important thing in the life there are many things we have to be understand in the young age as only young mind can read all and accept the things which are said by old people and my view is that in this age we cannot sit simply and we have to rub our mind with things or else it will be rusted and will be spoiled so it is better to catch up with the best school and give a good education and that is the best work that a parent have and this education is the thing we have as the back support for a modern one...and children will learn many things with friends than parents in some age and in one age they will not hear the words of their parents but their friends and that is the life one cannot be with their parents and it should have to grow its wings and fly away...there are many things i would like to share with u but i have no words with education ..happy lotting and have fun...

In todays world, an education is the most important thing you can do for your self. A simple high school diploma is not worth much today in the market place for a job. My son has a bach degree and still can't get the job that he wants so he is back in school to finish for a master's. Some people go all the way through college and then don't end up using what they studied for. Things are only going to get worst not better in life and you need all the knowledge that you can get to get that good paying job. I quit school in 10th grad as I already knew everything there was to know, got married and 11 years later found out when we divorced that I couldn't do much with out the diploma. So I got my GED, but now it is nothing, your future depends on getting the best education you can. Don't ever believe that you can get married and not have to worry about getting by that there will always be someone there to support you, in todays world it about takes 2 pay checks if you going to live comfortable. Or a divorce or an injury on the job could put the other person out looking for a job to help make ends meet while the other one is down. You are worth more than a min wage job. Do yourself a favor and be smart enough to have something to fall back on if you was to get married and all of a sudden find you need to go out and seek employment. Do it for your self not for someone else but for the most important person, YOU.

hi masmasika, Well, I have created an article which discusses how important education is. I am a teacher and I notice that some students don't pay much on education. So I made an article about that. You can visit my blog to check it out. As for me, I belong to a poor family. And here in our country, you can always hear parents saying to their children "Study hard for it is the only wealth we can give on you." I realize what it means as I go on through my life and meet many difficulties along the way. If you are not educated, many people will try to fool you or bring you down. So, education is very important. And in this world where having a living is very hard, competition in different jobs are very tight. Sometimes, even though you are already a college graduate, still you cannot find a job. There are many employed here but when you ask them what was their course when they were in college, you will find out that their work is not appropriate to their course. That is a very sad thing here. As for me, I am glad that I can practice what I learned in college. I know how hard my family did for me to be able to graduate and now I am giving back to them what must I give as a daughter. I wish them stop from their hard work and wishing I can give them a good life in the future through the education they provided on me.

Hi Masmasika, I do not know whether your discussions is about a formal education (learn it from school, collage or university) or if it is included the non formal education (learn it from parents, colleague, friends or people around us). If you mean it for both then we always need educations to survive our life. Without it, we would die. We need to learn almost everything like to communicate with others, looking for a job, looking for foods and so on. But if you are taking about formal education then I think it is important but not really necessary to be success in your life. It might really important for the last few decades but not now when almost everyone got degree from universities. What is more important to get a job now is experiences. Sometimes certain employers would prefer to those who has less formal education then those who has a degree. Experiences would make you know to do things while you earn your degree is only because you went to university and read the books. In every job there is something that we need to do that not written on the book but we can only knew it by do it ourselves. We would not smarter or skilled just because we got a degree and when we compare to those who has no degree but has a lot of experiences on doing certain jobs, we will find that we are dumber and unskilled then them.

This is about formal education. I really think education is very important because most jobs now require at least a high school diploma in order to be accepted.

Hi Masmasika. Education is very important. It does not just help you land a job with with a diploma and a good credentials but it also helps individuals to be more responsible in whatever aspects in life that could also be academically and practically. It also builds our thinking capacity to be more enhanced or at least, to be at its best. It is also true that many undergraduate people became more successful, but not always. Educated people can help the economy and the country because they have the capacity to interpret financial implications in a business or the government and can make big decisions and solutions for the betterment of humanity.

Hello Masmasika! Education is very important. It has helped me achieve my goals in life. It is also my bread and butter as I am working in an educational institution. Education is something that we should give premium to.

It is true that education is important but I would prefer that result of education is not to have contestants on a game show but provide the society the solutions for problems that we are facing today. Practical application should be the aim of any educational institution or any student for that matter.

Education is important....Life would be easier for me if I was able to finish my college. Though I can say...career is fine for me now.....life would be better if a got a degree. They say money is the solution for poverty.....but not all times. If we do not have enough knowledge to maximize our money on hand, it would be useless. Knowledge through education is a great solution to poverty.

I think that education is very important and that is the reason that I went straight to college after I graduated from high school. Now, that isn't to say that I have a career right now because I made the decision to stay at home with my children while they were small. However, I firmly believe that based on my education I will be able to find a great job once my son does start school in a couple of years.

I think it depends on the job you want. For some jobs education isn't really that important, on some jobs it is. If you're willing to do those jobs where education isn't important, I'd say it wouldn't be that much of a help to you. I personally don't even want a college education since I'm happy doing what I like, music. Whether it means working at a music store or playing with a band, you don't need any formal education, although it helps you to get gigs if you have gone to Berklee or something similar. But most music stores still don't require any education ;)
