I've never heard of this but if it's true then it's a good one. I just wish that we don't have to create laws to urge people to plant trees. All we need to do is have some heart and think of our future generations.

This is the first time i heard of this. I only planted a tree when i was about to graduate in college and it was a school requirement. Is the decree new? if it is then it should be implemented. But who will provide the trees? and where will the trees be planted?

I also never experienced anything like that. I know somewhere in my years I have planted a tree but I was never compelled to plant because of that law. But I think if that could be implemented it could help us at least recover the lost trees we had from our illegal logging to our many trees.

Ahhh. This is the first time that I have heard of this law. Hmmmm. I guess, they need to implement it more, cause I think there is no school or barangay in this country who implements this law. That's the main problem with our country, we have a lot of great laws but are not being implemented, and usually it's because of lack of public knowledge. I think they should try to make information more accessible to the public.

I also experienced planting a tree before for it was a part of our project. This is the first time I heard that it is going to be a Presidential decree already. I think its helpful. I am not against it. Its really good for students to know the importance of what they are doing and not just being compelled to do it cause its a part of the law.

hello john! I have read that in our books when I was still in high school. It has been discussed by my teacher too. I just think that it is very nice thought. i hope that most of us are doing this kind of things...I never really applied that that's why my teacher back then made us plant one..

Sorry john, the election buzz kept me away from the media, and thereby the news. If this is true, perhaps the schools could organize field trips to a place where the children can plant their 5 trees. That would mean reforesting our country again. More fresh air! I like that.
