Starting my own band

My partner is a guitarist singer/songwriter and has played with several bands and started his own too. The best advice would be to get together with good friends, practice as much as you can, try to write some original material too. You will know when you feel ready to *go public* and when that happens, try to organise a small gig in a local venue with friends attending. Be prepared to a lot of stress though, as getting a band together and working together is often difficult. You will need good, competant musicians to make it work properly, drummer, bass and rhythm guitar, lead guitar and possibly keyboards. It would help a great deal if you can actually play guitar first though hun :-)
