As many of you are aware, my son has CP and last year he had a big surgery. It resulted in an infection. As a result, he has had a very trying year, and on antibiotics for a year.
They have finally taken his antibiotics away. They cannot tell if the infection is gone, but if it is not, it will resurface, but they think his back is fused enough to take the rods back out and get it cleared up. Then they will go back in and put in more hardware, to help keep the back from curving again, but not as extensive.
They are also adding another relaxant to try to help with the tightness in his legs due to the fact that they took out the baclofen pump, that helped him relax.
Please pray that the infection does not come back and he will not have to endure any more surgeries and get get some relief for his tight muscles.
Thank you in advance.

Pls. read this and I hope it will help you to be strong in your situation right now with your son.
Today I Let go and let GOD
Take charge of this life of mine,
Now in the dark corners of my soul,
His light is beginning to shine.
All of the cares and worries that
I have carried around for so long
He has lifted them from my shoulders,
And filled my heart with love
Problems that were overwhelming
Suddenly seem very small,
And come what may, starting today
I know I can handle them all.
If you are troubled,
"LET GO and LET GOD"
take charge of your life for you, and
however dark life's shadow seem,
His light will come shining through.

Sometimes we do not understand God's ways of answering our prayers right?
In Isaiah 55:8,9 The LORD said
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD.
"For as heavens are higher than earth, So are
My ways higher than your ways,And My thougths than your thoughts"

Mam I will pray for your son and also pray the Holy Rosary
everyday and also ask the help of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Of course I'll pray for him. I think about him and say a prayer several times a week. That is so much for a child to handle, I can't imagine how you and he do it.

I think it would be harder if he would ever have not had problems. It is very draining and I feel so bad for him.

Hi,
I am an atheist and have not said a single prayer since they used to make me do so at school.
However I am also a parent and reading your post I realise that I am very lucky and take a lot of things for granted.
I will say a prayer for your son.
My thoughts and wishes are with you and your family. Please keep letting us know how he's getting on.
Thanks, Ian

How thoughtful and kind you are...Dad will be 97 in June and continues to be well if a little forgetful at times. Daughter Jo is over the cancer scare, they removed all of it and her wound is healing nicely, swelling and fluid problems are diminishing slowly. Bless you my friend.

Wow, that is a lot of stuff to have on your plate right now. I will certainly add him to my prayer list, and I will add you as well. I'm not a parent, but I have had a sick parent. I worried so much about them, and I can't imagine how much they worried about me when I was sick and waiting to get on disability.

You and your son have been in my prayers since I read your last discussion about his surgery. I will pray for him to be healed and feel better hopefully real soon. You are dealing with a lot right now and it sounds like you are taking such good care of your son. Don’t forget to care of yourself too...Best wishes to you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Blessings...
