Some religions dictate who to vote, we must respect that aspect of their religion but for me, having my own free will is the best gift God has given us and we should exercise this with caution. It is good if most of your peers, friends, relatives, or just people you know, think the same way as you do. It's not even bad to persuade someone into voting your candidate (as long as it is within legal terms), but to force a candidate, whom that person doesn't believe in, is down-right wrong for me. A person has the capacity to think for himself and to be able to exercise his right freely. When you get married, you choose the right partner because it would affect your life forever, when choosing candidates, we must be extra cautious because it not only affects us, but all Filipinos around the world as well. You don't let your religion choose who're gonna marry right?

I asked a friend who belongs to a religion that "dictates" who to vote for. She said that the reason behind that is that it is in their doctrine that they should think as one. I had a lot of arguments to throw about that doctrine but I just let it pass so as not to offend her and as a sign of respect to her and her religion
