Why is it the health care professionals are rubbish?

I have suffered depression since I was 14 and I have been passed from professional to professional, until the last few years.
I was suffering a bad episode and I was referred to my local CMHT (Community Mental Health Team) and I went my my initial assessment a few weeks later and all seemed well for future sessions.
I went to my next session...a month later (yes, a month! Other places used to be at least weekly) and I went to see the nurse and it was became my final session.
Why was this my final session? BECAUSE I SMILED.
Yes, apparently smiling means you are fine and that your depression is cured and everything is top of the world.
Wrong.
I am never going to ask for help again, if that is their attitude then what is the point?

I agree, i think all people in health care need a huge awakening somehow. They really don't give a hoot about u. We are in bad need of good doctors here. I'm sorry u couldn't get the help u needed. U can probably get more on mylot than u were getting w/yours.

The really frustrating thing is I guess I should have seen this thing coming...my GP said to me "I doubt they will help you, they don't usually want to know unless you want to kill yourself"
Nice eh?

What a ridiculous statement. I would have been ashamed to have told u that. I'm sure that really made u feel better.

It doesn't help that I have little trust in the medical professionals in the UK as it is...this has just cemented my position, which is they are never to be trusted, ever.

I go to my doctor alwaysw ith a smile. My Doctor encourages me to bear the pain with a smile. The doctor allways takes care of my health and is not misguided by my amiling face.Smiling while in distruss helps to heal the pains faster.
