Does anyone play Runescape?

I started playing this game about a month ago and I'm totally hooked. Does anyone else play it? The problem is that I've never really played video games before so I'm not very good at it. I don't know if it's cuz when I was a little girl I was playing with Barbies instead of Nintendo or what, but it's like I don't know how to think correctly to do well in a videogame. But I feel like Penny in that one episode of the Big Bang Theory where she got addicted to that online RPG. lol.
I've seen some guides for this game ( http://www.runescapeguide.com/ ) but I'm hesitant to get them for two reasons. One, because I don't know if they would actually help or not, and two, I'd feel like I was cheating.
So does anyone have any tips or anything they can give me so I can start doing better in this game?

well runescape is a cool rpg game cuz you have severals skills to level up while playing also its a little boring at the beginning cuz you dont know how to start or you dont know what to do, well the first you must it to level up your combat level(attack, defense, strength, ranging or magic) after you reach a considerable level on those skills you must start doing the quests to be able to use some armors (plate body, plate legs, shield, ect)the you should start with mining or woodcutting (there are one of the best skills your earn money)

I played it, then I stopped for a while. I recently started playing again and I absolutely LOVE the new updates! They really made it more "wow-like" with the questing and graphics. Overall it's a great game. I will most certainly continue to play and be a member. I probably have what some people would consider an addiction.

Are you Free to play? The way to make money in Free to play is bounty hunter :) I got 3.8m in 30 secs by getting a corrupt baxe drop :) But since you are a newbie , I suppose you should do woodcutting. It's lame and boring but it'll fit your current skill in runescape.
Check out zybez.net for woodcutting and other stat training guides. It's probably the best fan site. It's even got a forum :) so u can post your problems there. It's not cheating to know the best way to train :)

I use to play Runescape like a few years ago. I stopped playing though because it stopped loading on my computer. I come back every once in a while to say hi to old friends and kill noobs on clan wars lol. I use to be addicted to it but then when I stopped playing it, I noticed my everyday life changed a lot. If you are looking for tips and stuff on the game go to http://runescape.salmoneus.net/... It has quest help, money help, and a whole bunch of things. I learned a lot from that site when I use to play and it helped me get through a lot of things. You should check it out

hi i am a combat level 97 in runescape i have been playing for a while.
for guides i go to rune wiki for items/monsters for quests i go to sals/youtube for others i got to rune hq, these will all help alot. these guides also do not cost and owners of runescape jagex say this is not cheating as such and will not ban you or mute you i have been using these for a long time and cheating at runescape is using a bot. if you would like to know what a bot is please message me as i do not want to go off the subject

Yeah I tried it for a little while. There are much better games out there, some are even free too. Runescape has horrible graphics and boring gameplay.
If I were you I'd try Runes of Magic or Atlantica Online. They are both free and much better than Runescape.

I don't play it but my ex boyfriend is addicted to it. He isn't big on video games either but he was always playing that one whenever he was free. In fact he'd ignore me to do so ;p I'm pretty sure he still plays it today.
