Blog ! !

Hi Mitraa I must admit that I'm one of the slow learners around. I only started blogging earlier in the year in february. And i started myLotting slightly more than a month ago. What has impressed me about this topic is how I got to blog. As a matter of fact I'm still blogging on what I had been involved in sometime back in quite a remote place. Five years ago I had the responsibility to co-lead a small charity-school of intellectually, hearing and visually as well as the physically challenged persons between the ages of 18 and 40. From what they were doing I started to intensify them based on the concept of social enterprise. So I had never had a day without my camera because I wanted to document these activities as much as possible and had them stored in an external drive. From the income of the sale from farming, fishery to carpentry, motorbike repairs, brick making and art and craft and sewing we managed to fund all our activities with a little extra to clothe and feed us. I have since lived here for medical reasons but make many numerous trips back and help where I possibly could. And it is only lately that I have the pleasure to look at some of these pictures. Some were lost obviously. Nevertheless, my photo-journal was born,'Social Enterprise in Special Education: Living with disability and dignity'. And what made me decide were the people I had worked with, both staff and students. Ordinary people with nothing more than their faith and belief in very trying times where bird flu was rampant, the threat of a terrorist attack was real, the threat of a bomb attack, pockets of social dissatisfaction from the inflation of prices as a result of governmental withdrawal of subsidies on necessities, thefts and lots of other social problems. Thank you.

I don't see how it is beautiful, its just a media of communication. Why do you feel its for international enlightenment?

Since there are quite often untruths associated with blogging, it's not always beautiful. Enlightenment is only beautiful when it is true.

Whether it’s beautiful or not does depend on the blog! Blogging is great if you’re a writer. I started my blog a while ago but I stopped adding to it because I found it more profitable to work on other things. There are some great blogs out there authored by some talented people and there are others...That are not so good! (LOL)
