I am so frustrated. Last year, I was actually very excited. I kept saying that this election is very very interesting. Choosing one would really require people to use their heads now.
When campaign period was just about to start, profiles were so clean. Competitors try to stay clean with their words and actions, even more specially when it comes toward other politicians.
I was surprised to see them getting down to such levels that they'd actually use dirty schemes. Throwing mud at each others' faces, this is what I never thought they'd do. In fact, people around them even make it more difficult adding fuel to the fire.
Last year I was really watching news, carefully thinking. Now, I dont feel like voting anymore. It seems to me that these candidates are all nothing but trash.

me too... i am disappointed of what is going on now on the campaigns. It's like getting lower than the belt and becoming personal. it seems they are taking advantage of the people hope not to experience again what had happened during the past years. the candidates are trying their hard to be on good image. the campaign now becomes an entertainment to all... an exaggerating war production.

I believe that debates are way better productive in choosing and getting the best of the presidential candidate. sadly, the event is clearly canceled because the network is biased for some reason. keep researching on past debates you might see a healthy competition from there.

I know. As soon as everything started to look like a circus, I just stopped watching.

Yeah I guess to be able to really create noise these things do happen in politics. I think everywhere these things happen. If you have watch the US Elections before the actual election day bickering between Clinton and Obama was fierce that they sometimes go below the belt when trying to promote themselves. But in the end, they come as tandem when the real presidential election came.
In our situation same is happening. I think the only thing we should try to do as voters is to select the best amongst them and hope that election would create a credible election. This block propaganda against one another should not affect us who to vote and believe in your candidates.

True. These kinds of strategies are indeed common even in other countries. Its so funny that they all say they want to change our country, including the leadership, and this is what they are showing us.
I feel like an idiot being so aggravated by our politics and how these candidates handle themselves in such situations, maybe its because their actions make me lose my pride as a Pinoy, and maybe its because I expected too much from this election and from them.

Well I think that is how it goes with politics. I think that it should not disenfranchise your being a Pinoy in here. Your vote is very much needed to facilitate the change that is why I encourage you to exercise your right to vote in here. I think that is what is expected for us voters in here.
If we are to compare with other countries I guess same happens. Look at Thailand right now and see how they are doing in there. The capital is almost freeze by protest happening here and there. They demand the current government to be dissolved and many has resorted to violence just to achieved their need. If you go to other countries like Taiwan, US, Japan and Korea where democratic rights are exercised they all face the same political problems in there. It is just so that we are in the middle of it that we feel disenfranchised with all the turmoil happening amongst the candidates. Choose wisely and exercise your right to vote.

I wasn't surprised when candidates start throwing dirt at each other. It's their playstyle and this has been going on for decades. This is the only way to gain advantage from your opponent, at least that's what politicians think. It all boils down to one aspect, which name is the most remembered come election time.

We need a change. In a few days, a new leader will be "crowned". And we will have to stick with our new leaders for the next six years of our lives. Within that six years, lots of babies will be born.
At least for the next generation, I want not the best, but just a good turn of things and events. Just enough to make a difference.

Everything happen for a reason, so whatever we expect it can be different sometimes. And at the end we feel frustrated because we always expect and it's natural...But then why don't we view it on positive way coz God has a reason for everything and every leaders is appointed by our God. And we actually obey and be submissive as God said we only not to obey our leaders if it's against what is written on the Bible...

Hmm, its actually hard for me to say this, yeah, I agree...BUT I'd rather think of the results as part of our own will. Positivity is always great, I know. But as for submission, I dont think so. If you look back, it is because of submission that other countries took over our own.
Anyway, that is not the point. What I'm saying now is that backfighting and black propaganda are not options to convince everyone.

still vote my friend, you see for my own opinion it is very normal here in politics in the Philippines, i really don't get the point why they are doing this just to win, it seems that all of them have another plan or will do something when they win the race, i really don't know either so i rather look at the good credentials of the candidates rather than to vote according to the different survey, try to watch also the different forum conducted by TV stations it might help you decide my friend

so do i, i'm quite disappointed of the lists of candidates running either in national or in local. most candidates are using black propaganda which so bad because it just shows what kind of people who would run our country for another 6 years. i don't even like watching local news already because of these politicians says this and that. they are also spending too much on their campaign in which the money they used would really benefit a lot of people they had just shared it to those who need it the most.

Good point pwang41! Just as for example, Villar is using billions now. We are talking about billions! Since he is claiming that he was once poor, he should know best where the money is mostly needed.
