Hi,
Although I am very scared of heights, I recently went bungee jumping. I think although it was terrifying it was also one of the most exciting things I have ever done and I can't wait to do it again.
Do you guys like doing things that scare you to death every now and again ?
I think it really helps to keep life interesting.
Ian

The term terrify isn't apt here. The proper term is "challenge".Yes,we keep alive ourselves by accepting the challenges that life impose on us and it's the innate nature in every human being that they do things that is otherwise left untried by others. This quest or curiosity has led primitive man to scavenge for lands all around the world and the leader was Columbus.Hence, activities like the one you said really make oneself feel vivacious.
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for your response and comments, I suppose it just depends on the individuals use of language. To me "challenge" would be something like a difficult word puzzle.
Wasn't Columbus around in the 15th Century? surely people of this era couldn't be described as primitive man?
I could easily be wrong, it's certainly been a while since I went to school - just curious.
Happy mylotting, Ian

Hi Ian,
Terror is also a kind of challenge grossly if you go deeper into the meaning. The example of Columbus has been drawn to explain an example for delineating a trait of human nature, that is,curiosity.Early adventurous activity performed by people of that age is described by the remark "primitive man".I think,I've supported your point in other way.
Thanks again

Hi,
Thanks for that, reading my last comment, it did come over as a bit argumentative and aggressive, please accept my apologies as it certainly wasn't intended that way.
