I have a 19 year old admirer who I believe would not object to any advances should I choose to ' pounce' on him. I am a 42 year old single gal. Now before you say he is old enough to be my son I will say "I know", but as I do not have any children of my own it is easier to see beyond this and see it for what it is. Two people showing an attraction for each other. Am I a deviot to be thinking about taking this any further?

Well I am only 20 and I've had my fair share of younger admirers and one in particular stands out he had just turned fifteen and he had the biggest crush on me and i'm sure it took a lot of nerve for him to look me straight in the eye and say "I like you do like me?"(awww how cute was that), when I let him down gently I felt like such a jerk, and he looked so sad afterwards that I wanted to take it back but didn't. Why? Because think about usually whenever there is an age difference five years or more and you get past the infatuation stage one party usually falls into the "parent" roll and the other party becomes the irresponsible "child" roll. Even if he seems very mature "for his age"(there goes one red flag)teenagers tend to get extremely attached and sometimes can even become obsessed(I don't mean frighten you) but what i'm trying to say is that teens are impulsive, and usually can't further than 3 inches down the road, so you have to be the one to think ahead and weigh the pros/cons.
But me personally, dating a younger guy kinda weirds me out, so I don't.

To be honest i would take it only as a compliment.I have children and my daughter is soon 18 years old and i am 39 so i would not even go there.I know a person that is 41 and they are with someone whos only 26 which is the same age as her daughter and she is happy with that and they have planned their wedding only 6 weeks after being with each other,to me they are both mad.If you are happy with it then thats ok as it is all legal what you are doing, but i would not even go there myself.

It really all depends on you. Young men has a tendency to be attracted to much older women. It creates a challenge for men. It is something that is very tempting to do.
