mosquito activity

Hi, Mosquitoes whether it is noon or night one are injurious. But the recent study tells that early morning around 5.00 they r more harmful and are reason for some illness like Chikunguniya. There are number of various variety discovered in the past years. SO other than culex mosquito you can find lot of varities now.. :) Just be safe whether it is night or day ...

Damn those mosquitoes. They keep on biting me. Argh I can't get good sleep because of those. I even get marks of their bites. They're such a pest!

I think mosquitoes are more active at night.They seem to come out more.I get bit up at night when I go out,during the day they don't seem to bother,unless you're around a swamp,then they're always out.

you know mosquito use a infrared vision - it sees you warm aura :) and of course it is much better seen at night or in dark forests that's why they are more active at nighttime

i really don't know why mosquito is more active than night, all of them is female mosquito, it is safer to be at night than the afternoon, because mosquito that is active at noon carries a disease called dengue

There are about 3000 species of mosquitoes in the world. Majority of them are night biters. Malaria mosquitoes (Anopheles)and Filaria mosquitoes (Culex)are night biters but those transmit Dengue, Chikungunya and Yellow fever (Aedes mosquitoes)are day biters. I like to travel to tropical places and I have seen mosquitoes there. I think mosquitoes are active at sunset and during the night time. Therefore I have found it worth getting changed into long sleeved clothing just before sunset. Then I have slept under a mosquito net each night. If I have felt bites in the day time it has been the sand flies. In some countries some mosquitoes carry malaria or yellow fever.

Most the mosquito has major activity in night and only female mosquitoes bite us to suck our blood. These can cause a deadly disease Malaria. African countries has more mosquitoes and many people are affected by malaria.

Mosquitoes are a pain at any time of day! I am happy I have yet to be bitten now that the weather is so warm. I hope this is a trend that will continue because it seems they are always active!

Well they are always around it seems. I have encountered them during the day more times than I would like to remember. However, they seem to be out in greater numbers at night. That is when the mosquitoes really decide to come out and play. They are everywhere when the sun comes down and I always try to avoid going outside at night, because they seem to like me and if I do go out, I take the proper precautions, which works some of the time, but not always. Still better than doing nothing. In the end, more mosquitoes at night. Therefore, considering there are more of them then, there are many more chances where they can bite you. So, they are much more dangerous during this part of the day, at night, with all things considered. So yeah, these pests are annoying at best and disease ridden at worse and I do not like them. However, they are out there in abundance especially at night.

Mosquito always prefer dark places, avoid strong light, so they are more prominent in night time, you will see them more in evening hours.. Thanks for sharing. Welcome always. Cheers. Professor
