Hey I am bald and every one who knows me calls me a baldy.. and that is how now I am being called.Initially, I used to get depressed...but now i am used to it and i take it in my stride..But when I am alone I do get depressed thinking about ...Its like something that rather than being a part of me has become an identity for me and trust me at times it really bothers me ...I really don't know what should I do.If i am bald do i remain depressed about it or just move and till the important question is till when can I keep ignoring such things.

don't let it get to you. being bald is not the only thing going on for you. it's JUST A PART of you. there sure are a lot of things about you that are far greater than this piece of information. whenever you feel depressed about being bald, think of the other good things that you have and keep yourself busy. you should not let this rule or lead your life. i'm sure that the people who love you now don't care whether your bald or not. if you don't accept yourself for who you are, nobody will. so start embracing that part of you and stop being wasting your time being depressed. depression can eat you alive you know.

would you rather be bald than with scarce hair that seems like patches on your head? if you are experimenting or following a trend you need not worry as they will soon grow back. think of yul brynner who looks great being bald.

There are so many bold people and it is not strange at all to be bold. You know many people say that bold people are more sexually potentual so you can make a joke of it.Don't take it seriously. It is not something you wanted so you don't have any fault.

Being depressed about such a petty thing does you no good at all! In fact being depressed at all isn't beneficial. People that tease people about how they look are no better than racists.

Well I would hold such a strong opinion after all they are either my so called colleagues or friends...even if they don't intend to hurt me but yes I do feel hurt about..Racists are people who intentionally want to cause pain or insult...

Don't get depressed. It's not really something you should be ashamed of. But if you can't help it, there's hope. Consult a dermatologist and have a hair transplant.

For me bald is beautiful...why fret? As if you're the only bald here on earth. Chin up, friend, there's nothing to worry about. You're more lucky cause others have other serious defects and failings that really affects their lives. You just have to accept it wholeheartedly!

Well I guess you can consult a doctor treating this kind of problem. If it is genetics then I guess there is not way you can do about it. There are other options like wearing a wig, making hair implants via sugery or any other way. Or you may simply accept your situation and be happy with what you get in your head. I am thinking that with the way things are going on, you may either love your being bald or be sad or depressed about it. It is your choice. I think being happy and proud about who you are will definitely boost your moral than staying depressed about something you cannot change.

I don't let things bother me that other people say.I feel looks aren't really important and I'm not hung up on looks.I feel satisfied with myself.Alot people call one something because I guess they probably think it's funny to hurt your feelings. The only thing that matters is that you feel happy with yourself.

Some people are just idiots who have no social skills or manners! Haven't they heard that bald is in? Look at people like Vin Diesel who look very cool being bald. Don't be depressed, be happy because you aren't so shallow as to go around calling people "baldy"!

You should move on and be proud - there's nothing wrong with being bald, it's a fad today and many famous actors are turning bald too.

I am Bald as well, since i was in my 20's and just learned to live with it. I always said when i was younger i hope i don't become bald like my father. But my Mother's Father was bald as well, so it is just one of those things in the family. I've never had problem finding girlfriends and i don't think i'm an ugly guy, so i just learn to live with it. I just believe if someone don't like the way i look, they can just go about there own business. So, i say ..just enjoy life and don't worry about your baldness, God created us just the way we are and we must keep going forward in life.

hi, amitprashar, glad to see you here. I've already see you issue, and i don't think you ought to be depressed for others calling you a baldly, it' s not important, others may just joke with you ,you shouldn't care about it too much. My suggestions are that you just do your own things and walk your own roads, let others say it . thanks

Hi Baldy, It would be nice to laugh about it, I remember once as a gag gift for my uncle's Birthday, I bought a comb and broke out most of the teeth from it. He unwrapped the present and laughed till he cried. Being Bald does not define who you are. And if you're so bothered about it, save money to do the hair transplant operation. By the way, try something, write your own eulogy...You may be surprised that baldness is not what you will be remembered for. It fact, it will be a term of endearment. Keep cool Baldy!!

There are some reasons why you got bald...If it is medical condition or hereditary disorder. I think you can still cure that. You might be lack of iron or abuse of hairstyling routine with medicine or maybe unbalanced diet. So why don't you start taking iron or even spirulina. Don't be depressed, you are not alone. I myself was a victim of that condition of hair loss for many years but I was able to overcome it.

Hello amit!! There are lots of things to be depressed about other than being bald. Just be happy of who and what you are. Everything else with follow. To much bitterness can make you unproductive which will be a disadvantage on your side. Think happy thoughts and think positively.

In my opinion, it's not a problem you should worry about. Life presents more important things than being baldy or not. Instead of getting depressed, you can take it with sense of humour and laugh about it, take it with healthy irony and don't waste your precious time to think about.
