I know people now wear pajama bottoms out in public! It's crazy to us old people!Anyway, I usually sleep in sweats and a Tshirt. But a couple of weeks ago I actually bought a pair of pajama bottoms. They are so comfortable.. do you sleep in some sort of comfortable clothes or Pj's?

In the winter I sleep in pj's but in the summer it's usually a camesole and panties, lol. I know what you mean about people wearing their pj's out. I see it all the time and wonder "don't they have any clothes", lol. Alot of them are really cute but come on are they just too lazy to get dressed?

Maybe that's it. They are too lazy to get dressed!! I hadn't thought about that! I just can't wear my private clothes out in public.. it just doesn't work for me!!

Me either! As a matter of fact just yesterday morning I was just going to step out on the front porch for a second, still had my pj's on and opened the door and made sure no one was driving by first. Maybe that was silly but it's just the way i am!

hi macdingolinger,
i have discussed on this subject several times ,the night dress, but this is according to their will and plaesure,i am using only one piece of lungi on my body, mostly Indian people while in the home use this type of wear that is lungi,i think you might know about lungi,it is somewhat difficulty to wear pajama bottoms, and it is easy to wear nighty for ladies in the night, have a nice day

A lungi sounds like what we would call a "gown." I don't like gowns because when you roll over they stay there. Then it gets all tangled up around my legs and hips then it's like it is going to strangle you or something!

I have always thought buying PJ's unless they are like the long Tshirt type were a waste of money. I do know a lot of people who like them, and will wear them out in public not caring what other people think. I have worn my Tshirt ones out and most people would never know.

I just wear a T shirt and sweats to sleep in, especially in the cooler months. then when I get up in the morning, sometimes I just slip a bra on and I'm good to go and no one knows any different! lol! and if I have to run to the store - oh well!

I lounge around the house in either pajama pants or comfortable pants. However, when it is time for me to sleep, there is no way that I am able to sleep in any kind of pants because I always feel like I get hopelessly tangled up when I am sleeping with anything more than underwear on. Therefore, I sleep in only a t-shirt or pajama top and my underwear. This is definitely the most comfortable option for me.

I sleep in my sweats most nights. I also wear shorts when it gets hot. I get tangled up in a gown or a big t-shirt, it goes one way and I go the other!

I actually never sleep in pajamas in my whole life. I don't have them. I usually sleep with a short pants and a shirt. Some time when i tired, i just sleep with my work cloth and a long pants. I think i can sleep with anything if i am sleepy enough. Well, that's it from me.

I live in Alabama, so it is usually shorts and a tshirt during the summer and I do wear pajama bottoms in the winter, but usually still with a tshirt or tank top. I love my pj bottoms!! I usually buy mens though so they will be long enough ( I am 5 foot 10!)

Yeah for summer shorts and a T work real well, then switching to sweat pants for winter or colder months. I do really like pj bottoms too, but don't always have them, sweats work fine anyway!

Hi, macdingolinger. I have slept in some pajamas last year. They were polyester and it had hearts all over it. They were very comfortable. I had the top to go with it too. I have seen many people wear pajamas out in public too. That is some kind of style. I have even seen many men wear them. Usually the guys that are slender looking.

I think guys can get away with it easier than we can. If we wore our summer pjs in public we'd get arrested for indecent exposure!

I sleep in pj or gowns. I have lounge outfits that i do wear in public sometimes. I do not sleep in them. Once while i was wearing a lounge outfit a friend came by and we went to another friends house. The other friend commented on how much they liked my pj's. I had to tell her they are not pj's but lounge outfit and i was lounging at home.

Hi.
I usually sleep in pajamas in winter, and undies in summer. I prefer cotton ones, because of the good moisture absorption quality. Besides, they are soft and comfortable to wear.

I hear you on that. I haven't worked on getting any pjs for the summer months yet. I will probably get some lite cotton pants for the summer. And my usual white under T.

That works! It depends on the kind of shorts for me though. I only have the ones I run in and usually I only sleep in them the night before a race!

I guess that's the main thing - being comfortable. I usually wear sweats in cooler months and then shorts in hotter times.

I do wear PJ bottoms like "lounge trousers around the house though as it is quite comfortable!

Real PJs? Like the kind we wore when we were little kids? No I don't but my daughters do. I do have some sweats that could if I had to be worn in public. On my days off from work, I put them on in the afternoon when I don't anticipate having to go out again. If I have to it's no big deal but they are just so much more comfy than jeans.

In the winter, I love my flannel nightgown and in the summer, I love my night shirts that come to my knees. I have tried wearning PJ bottoms, but I just feel to restricted and tangled up in my sleep, and it wakes me so I cannot wear the bottoms. Plus, I get yeast infections very easily so I cannot wear underwear to bed, I MUST go bottomless to allow for free air movement for the health of my va jay jay.

I own at least three summer night dresses and three winter top and pants sets. I have tried to sleep in the buff but have found it uncomfortable, I need to at least wear a pantie.
I think it has a lot to do with our upbringing/childhood home situation. I grew up with four brothers and a sister not to mention plenty of cousins. Our clothes were even handed down amongst the cousins, so we always has plenty of clothes and pajamas.
As for going to town in my pj's, not on your life. If I'm sick at home and need something from the shop I'll put my sweatsuit on to visit the shop, I may have my pj's on beneath the sweatsuit, but my pj's will definitely be covered.
