Hi Pratheep87, Your the first one to responded to my discussion -- thank you. ;) I, too, also would ignore the person because in the past I have learned from my experience. I said "Hello" to someone and that person was confused. She had no idea who I was. And the worst part was I said "Hi Stacy" and her name was not even Stacy. What a awkward moment!

It really depends. If you can't just avoid just say hi. Sometimes I do ask there name and sometimes I don't. There are some who call you by name and you keep on thinking where on earth did we meet. Sometimes I smile and say hi myself after that person leaves I still can't remember what his/her name was..

I've not had one of those moments for a long time now, but I have had a similsr thing happen of facebook. Some one requested to be my friend and I sort of recognised the name, but his photographs I did'nt recognise at all. I still accepted his friend request then I was horrified to see that he had sent me a private message and he was chatting away to me like we were best friends or something. It was obvious he knew me because he was asking about certain member of my family etc...still to this day I have no idea how I know him. Anyway I just ignored his message, which is not really a nice thing to do, I should maybe explain that I have no idea who he is.
