Luckily I do! I so happy to still have a 20/20 vision at my age..that is in spite of facing the computer everyday, reading books on dim lights when I was studying before and until now and washing my face right away when I am tired!!!
I don't know if this is because of my inherited genes from my parents or the food that I eat but I remember that I don't eat much vegetables since childhood and if it's all about my lifestyle I would probably have a blurred one right now
How about you guys do you have a good or poor vision?? Share your stories as well as opinions and tips on how you take care of you eyes..
Thanks and happy mylotting to all..

I am far sighted. I can read small letters from afar. Unfortunately, things that are near like text messages are unreadable.

Well, that's really nice! I hope you do all you can to protect it. I have had poor eyesight ever since I was little. I was 9 when I got my first glasses and they have gotten progressively worse. I also had to add bifocals not too long ago. I've already made my way to the fourth or fifth level of those! But I am thankful I can see!

Hello there macdingolinger!!! Thanks! Oh no have you tried consulting your optometrist if you can have a surgery to correct your vision?? I know your situation is very difficult..how about contact lenses??? I think it is much comfortable than wearing glasses all the time..
But yeah you are right let's still be thankful for the gift of sight..
Thanks for sharing! God Bless you

Hello there fairytale123!!! Wow I can see how happy you are with you're clear vision..you are so blessed to have a good eyesight..hmmmm I think if you are not that much into vegetables include eggs and milk in your diet they also offers vitamin A..
Like joannaleed said we don't know if there are future complications because of our bad lifestyle and eating habits so I think she is right that both of us should somehow start taking care of our eyes..
Hi joannaleed!! Thank you for your advise!!!!

mine is a funny story, i have sight only for one eye, that is , i am having sight only for my right eye and my left eye is normal and i can see very clearly with it but with my right eye i cannot see properly, my doctor told me that my sight is hereditary and there is nothing anyone can do about my strange eye sight. in fact i can see clearly even with out my glasses, but i was advised to put them on.

Hello there adtya369!!!Oh your case is unusual..you have an unequal sight!!!! ***Urgh*** why does it have to be hereditary I think you would have a very big chance to correct that on surgery if it's just a usual eye problem..
But the good thing is you can still see clearly right..
Thanks for sharing..

I have a very poor vision.
I wore glasses since I was 12 year old.I hate to wear glasses,I am not beautiful, glasses make me ugly. So I often wear contact lenses.
But they are very inconvient,I have to wash them every day.And some body told me it is not good for my eyes to wear glasses.
I do not know how to do .

Hello there forteafuture!!! Oh I think you need to ask your doctor if you can have a surgery..it may be expensive though but it will make you free from eyeglasses and
contact lenses as well..Don't just listen to anyone just ask your doctor first..I think if contact lenses are not good for the eyes then they will not sold it commercially right???
And please don't think that you are not beautiful..with or without glasses I know that you are..so cheer up
Thanks for sharing..

Congratulations Khaezi for having a 20/20 vision . You are awesome because even though you face the computer everyday and read books in dim light and do not eat vegetables, your eyes is of good vision still. I am jealous. I have a poor vision. I started to wear eyeglasses when I was 12 years old. I love reading books and I do it even when it is already afternoon. I read in dim light also. They said its not good for the eyes while other said that it won't affect our eyesight. I guess what makes me have this poor vision more is that I was always going close to our tv when I am watching. Do you do same? And I also look at the sun sometimes without eyeglasses to protect my eyes. I was very careless when I was a little kid and now I am suffering from that.
And when I started in the university, it worsen because my course was computer programming. I was everyday with the computer and the computer that we were using that time doesn't have any filter to protect us from radiation.
Anyway, now that I realize what are the side effects of all those stuff I was doing long time ago, I try not to do it again although what I just cannot avoid is being in front of the computer because I am doing my job online. As of now, I learn how to love squash and other vegetables like carrots. I do think so that they can prevent my eyesight from having poorer vision.

Hello there annirose!!! Thanks!..I'm lucky to have parents with good sight I should say..You know what based on my observation reading is the number one factor that triggers that problem..after reading I also have blurry vision as well..
Try to rest after facing the computer and adjust your monitor facing upward so radiation will not be directly focused on your face or body..and of course talking lots of vitamin A rich foods will help you alot..try milk and eggs too..
Let's hope for the best!

I haven't been to the eye doctor in like 10 years so I have no clue. I probably need glasses because stuff far away is starting to look blurry. Oh well. Ill just live with it.

Hello jugsjugs!! Oh yeah that's a very good tip for all of us..I agree with you having our eyes tested will make us aware of how well or bad it is overall! I'm happy for you though I'm worried for your kids..I believe that squash, carrots, eggs and milk are good for eyesight..you may include them in your daily diet..

you are lucky khaezi. my eyesight has not been good ever since i was young. but it was great, nevertheless, to have enjoyed sports with glasses as i was growing up. the thing about poor eyesight, is it me or is it innate, that is passed down from my parents because both used to wear glasses too.

Hello khaezi! I am lucky as well because i still have a good eyesight at the age of 32. When i was in my early twenty's and my work required me to used my eyes for almost 9 hours a day by just reading too much documents, my eyesight becomes blurred. I was so sad then, but i ate fresh carrots everyday because of its vitamin content that was good for our eyes, fortunately, i revive my former eyesight up to this date. Hope it will stay this way forever. Have a pleasant day ahead!

I, unfortunately have bad vision. In 7th grade I had to get glasses and it has just gone downhill from that. I do not eat many veggies so I know that I am not helping myself. I am getting a new pair of glasses actually today in my new prescription! Exciting stuff, congrats on your perfect vision! Wish I could say the same.

MY eyesight is far from the worst I would think but it is not that good. Without my glasses, I can only see slightly in front of me. Thankfully, there is a pretty good reason why I wear glasses and they allow me to see. It just seemed like one day that my eyesight started to go on me, sometime in the fourth grade or so. It was quite a shock to get glasses to wear, especially to a ten year old.
Now, I am so used to wearing glasses, that I would feel utterly and completely wrong without them. They have been a part of me for so long that I feel like they are almost a part of my face. I guess that is why I have never decided to use other options. I am just so used to my glasses. Thankfully, it appears that my eyes are not getting any worse and they might have improved a bit, but at this level it is really hard to tell.

I'm thankful cos I do...
I have a big bright black eyes
In our family there's none of us wearing eye glasses..even my mom and my dad, so I think we really have a good eyesight
I believe that eating healthy food will help to maintain good vision.Perhaps the most important one is Vitamin A. This vitamin contains retinoid, a chemical compound that is known for its positive effect on for example bone growth and eye-sight. The Vitamin A is anti-infective, strengthens the immune system, and is found in many of the most popular vegetables and dairy products. Leaving out Vitamin A in your daily diet can cause problems with your vision.
Lettuce,Sweet potatoes,Pumpkin,Apricot,Broccoli,Grapefruit,Cantaloupes,Pepper,Winter squashes,Butter,Milk,Egg,Fish and Liver

You are lucky khaezi!
Not many of us get to be in your shoes. Especially with the lifestyle we tend to lead now. Lots of computer, mobile phones, video games and lots of other LCDs we watch and stare hard daily. And normally as we age, the worse our eyes become too. Seems to me here like its the genes you inherited from your parents. I begin to realize now why I started using glasses at a young age.

i do also have a clear vision even though i use the computer every night... and sometimes the whole day. And now on my chosen profession of architecture i hope it would still be clear enough though i would have to draw and use the computer all the time.
