I have two children and two stepchildren and from them seven grandchildren. I have been blessed. And I'm only sixty years old so I may yet to live to see my great-grandchildren as one of my grandchildren is sixteen years old. Thanks for making me look at my life again. I have faced many challenges but can honestly say, it was a good life!

All you can do is be the best parent that you can be. All parents have to learn through trial and error. Even those with multiple children since all children are different.

I have two step sons but no one could love those boys more than I do. Even though they are not my biological children, I do more with and for them than their mom does. The oldest will be 20 in August and is a freshman in college and the yougest is 17 and a junior in high school. We tell the oldest one, who is pretty seriously involved with a young lady, that we are way too young to be grandparents yet. (lol)

The way I see it, is that if you act like their mother than you are their mother, blood doesn't mean anything. My dad has 2 biological children but he claims 4 children. I am one of his biological children and was always raised calling my older brother and sister, my brother and sister. We never did half-brother and half-sister and I like that. I am in the process of getting a divorce and when I have more children they will be brother and sister no halfs are allowed.

I have two kids right now and I'm pregnant with number three. And I have decided I want to have one more after this one is born =) My daughter is nine and my son is five. I never thought I would want four kids, but I love being a Mom and I think my kids would benefit from having more siblings =)

Congratulations on being pregnant! Isn't it interesting how your desires change with children? I agree that kids do benefit from having siblings, they have lifelong friends and it makes being home less boring.

LOL! I know what you mean my oldest is four so I don't even want to think about being a grandmother! At least for the next 18 years or so.
