You are definitely right. Being an employee will never make you rich, you can have at least to look forward to when it comes to paying bills. If you want to go in to business it would be better if you focus on the things that you usually do perhaps your hobby for starters. If you are interested in one thing, you will be able to manage it properly because you know the ins and outs of it. If you are a collector of toys, for example, then you can conduct an online business.

I don't know what kind of bussiness you want. But you have to look at the market for that kind you want to start. Availibility to the public. Means that will make sure there are a lot of traffic. And the most important. Competition. Other businesses will give you grief. Keep all that in mind and make sure you have all you want and need, before you get started. TATA.

Business can be hard at times with this present economic situation. But you can always start small like selling cold drinks at crowded areas. I think this type of business only need small capital outlay and the profit is quite good.

Having in business, its not only the capital should be considered but its good to know your field of interest, the location itself and the availability of prospect customers. meaning, you have to get some case study on this matter. Think if your having a long term plans as basis on your business proposals. For a small entrepreneurs, I would suggest rice retailers is quite better in your way. Repetition of buying is near involved, knowing rice is a basic needs to Asian country. Are you from Philippines right?
