I want to lose weight. I was encourage to be consciously aware of my weight when I saw an on Facebook. Belletoday.com is a free to join social networking website where everybody's common goal is to lose weight in a healthy way. I started my program today, and I'm trying to moderate my food intake. I'll be taking 8-10 glasses of water starting this day.
How about you guys, are you in a diet? If not, what do you do to lose or maintain your weight? Hope for your response.

If you are fairly active but overweight, let me suggest WATER. If you do not drink water start. It will fix everything. cut out sodas completely and just switch to water and watch the pounds shed

I'm not into a particular diet program but I see to it that I watch what I eat. My advice to you is, as much as possible, eat in moderation and refrain from eating too much sweets. Also, I strongly suggest that you MUST exercise. Me, I don't go to the gym. I just browsed in youtube for some aerobics video. Anytime that I want to sweat it out I just open my computer then go along with the video. Or if you find it rather boring doing it alone, try to enroll in a gym near your place. Just keep in mind that regardless of what diet or exercise program you'll be joining, you need tons of determination and dicipline to reach your desired goal.

In my case I'm limiting my Carbohydrates especially my rice intake. As much as possible I don't eat rice now. I eat vegetables, fish, chicken and if in case I eat pork I took of the fatty part of it. I would only eat the lean part.

I was fat wayback in highschool. my classmates were giving me names such as biggie, fattie, etc. it did hurt my feelings. however, it motivated me to lose weight. I enrolled in the gym (slimmer's world) and attended several fitness sessions, i quit eating at fast food chains particularly mcdonalds every week, i consumed foods high in fiber, etc... after a year, i saw the difference in my body then i continue what i have started and lose 30 pounds. yey! :) i love my body now... i can wear tight fitted pants and shirts.. :)

I too am trying to lose weight around my waist but it isn't that easy! I think that losing weight around the waist can be the most difficult area of the body to conquer! I exercise on a regular basis, everyday, cycling, weight lifting and so forth. I think that it's important that you do something in terms of exercise on a daily basis. I also have a weakness for chocolate and I'm pretty certain that this has contributed to those excessive pounds! I'm trying to cut down on my intake of chocolate. In terms of drinking water I've not been very good at that! The truth is, I don't like the taste of water, it's plain and very difficult to tolerate! However, I know that water can be very good for your system, flushing out all the toxins and so forth. So, I have started afresh and I'm now trying to drink water on a daily basis as well as my intake of tea. I haven't quite reached the goal of eight glasses of water per day yet but this is in the pipeline and I'm definitely practising now! I love cycling and try to get out there on the bike on a daily basis, it makes me feel so good as well as adding strength to my legs. So, there's my story! I'm trying and I'm not one to quit, I'm kind of hoping for the best! Good luck with your own plan. Andrew

time was ago, I also had problems overweight. It has been several times I tried to follow the diet programs but never succeeded. Then at last I found a strategy to lose weight that is with a strict self-discipline that is trying to not eat the night, avoid fatty foods and do much exercising .... a result, I managed to lose weight without any problems

As far as I am concerned, I think I usually do as the normal people do to lose weight . For me, years ago, I think I am a little fatter, which I think I do not like the shape of myself at that time. But with so many years of practice , my weight reduces a lot. I become a thin man now.I think the key to lose weight is stick to the method that you rae using at the moment. For example, if you just take exercise everyday, I think you can continue to do this, then with the time goes by, I think you can be not that fat then.

Hi dhysanne! Regular exercise is the best way to lose weight followed by a proper but complete diet. After six works great as well with low carb meals during night. You can also squeeze in "fruit diet". All you do is eat fruits for 3 straight days and water. It helps to detoxify bad stuff from your body and a good way to lose weight. If you want to try this out, do this once every month only. :)

I went on a low carb diet/high protein over ten years ago, lost 20 pounds and have kept it off ever since...and I'm 55 years old. Your body burns carbs for energy so, if you limit your carb intake, your body is forced to burn fat. It's not a hard diet, you don't feel like you're starving and you're forced to carb up about once a week so you don't have to deny yourself the things you like forever. Check this kind of diet out on the web and see if it interests you. There are also other good diet plans out there. They key to weight loss is finding a diet that works for you, that you like so you will stick to it, and getting more exercise.
