Our country, Philippines, will soon have national election. Until now, I still haven't decided who will I choose as a president. Almost all of them have some negative records and weaknesses. I know I can never choose a perfect candidate for such position but at least I will be able to choose the best among all of them. But my problem is, I don't know who will I consider as the best among all of them. To those Filipinos out there, can you please give me your opinions regarding this matter? Thanks a lot guys and happy mylotting.

I don't really know who I want to become the president... But, in my opinion... Noynoy is the best choice. I mean, his parents have good reputation here in our country. If he will become the president, then ofcourse... as the son of those people... he wouldn't want to disgrace his parents. He is the least likely to be the corrupt or something... Well... I won't vote anyway. I am still below 18 years old after all...

Remember this: Popularity is nothing, what's important is if they have the ability, knowledge and skills in dealing with our current economic state, issues and problems. Proper analysis of their pros and cons could be a good way to look at each candidates. We all know that nobody is perfect and they have their own negatives and positives so its now really for us to see for ourselves. Don't let yourselves be blinded by others decisions, perceptions, fake facts. Get to know the candidates more and follow your own beliefs and decisions.
Just VOTE WISELY for Philippine's sake and its people. :)

My dear it is really tough to look for a candidate who is perfect. No candidate can ever be perfect just as all of us are not perfect either. Well the best way is to choose the less evil of all and that will of course the best choice we can ever make. Now in my own opinion my criteria is to choose the candidate who does not promise something which is impossible to achieve such as what Villar has been proudly saying. He is promising to end poverty. How could he ever do that when in his own locality (Las Pinas) where he already established political dynasty, poverty is still not totally stopped and the problem of traffic has been at its worst. Then here he comes promising to end poverty in the whole county. I don't think I would ever vote for such kind of candidate. He is using the poor too much. I will never vote for Villar. He owns almost all the land in our place and yet he is saying he will alleviate poverty. How the hell could he not just give those land to the poor for free it he has that good intention? He has never shown any act of compassion to the poor in all his political career then suddenly he will say he wants to end poverty. He has issues of land grabbing apart from the C5 issue and that is a sign of greed. He is not satisfied with what he has so he wants more even those who belong to others. So I will not entrust the country to him. I think I will only vote for him if he will agree that should he fail to deliver his promise, he will go to prison cell.
I will vote for someone who has at a more feasible and honest intentions for this country. Someone who has no issue on corruption, someone who has a achieved something really remarkable within his political career.

Among all the candidates, Noynoy is the only one who doesnt have a bad records that's why the rival partylist is doing everything to ruin his name. Unfortunately, nobody believe in the black propaganda that they made. He is the very least candidate that will rob our country and i trust him very much.

I go for Noynoy because I can see his sincerity and good heart. I can feel that he has a good intentions to our country. I believe in his capabilities to lead this country. Among all the leading candidates, noynoy boldly stood up against corruption and publicly mentioned that he will never steal. He's greatest line "HINDI PO AKO MAGNANAKAW!"

Im also from the Philippines and a registered voter. i am also having a problem on who to choose. but my father said that i should choose noy2x for president because he has no bad record yet. And he has no son and a wife yet that means he cannot transfer any money to his/her child unlike arroyo.. its up to you to decide which to choose.. but you must choose wisely

What the Philippines needs today is a moral force that can dismantle the culture of corruption in the country. You should remember that no matter how successful, intelligent, or accomplished a candidate is, if he does not possess the moral strength of a soldier on a mission for clean government, those other traits can be used for personal and evil ends. Choose someone whom the Filipino looks up to for moral change in government administration. I'm trying to look at those candidates, I can only see that in Noynoy Aquino.

I really wish the best for this year's election. I think you have the two strong candidates but knowing which one has the most potential is difficult. We would have to watif ro the main speeches to begin, hope it won't be to chaotic in the Philippines as it was last election. I don't have the right to vote but if i did, i think i would go for noynoy, but still shifting between villar not so sure. Good voting everyone! Which ever the choice, hopefully Philippines will rise again=) love that country!=D

I will vote for Richard Gordon and especially for Bayani Fernando. Both have irrefutable track records. Gordon has Olongapo-w/c he built up after that tragic landslide, and Bayani has Marikina which he turned from a "manila-like", dirty, polluted, criminal town into a nice, peaceful, civilized and clean city.
Both have political will. They will do what they think is right even if it is not what others want. And mind you, what they think is right is not merely just a thought that popped in their heads. it is a carefully thought plan. see how marikina turned out.
The pink barriers and u-turn slots that people complain about actually helped traffic and lessen pedestrian accidents and casualties. There are lesser jay-walkers, and drivers are mode disciplined when it comes to changing course in 2-way roads. Lessening intersections means more moving cars, lesser congested traffic, w/c was accomplished through u-turn slots.
Pedestrians don't walk in roads/streets because side walks can now be walked on and is not full off vendors.
I do hope you see how our nation will greatly improve when we vote for Gordon and Bayani.
