Election Jingles

In the Philippines, a jingle song is an effective way for the candidates to have a recall effect for voters. They would select very catchy songs and change the lyrics or make their own jingles that can be very ear-catchy. They air it on TVs during commercials or they play it on vehicles with banners going around with huge sound systems forcing people to listen. You can also hear some children singing jingles and they really know the lyrics by heart and it is really amazing. What is the best election jingle that you've heard? Do you think it's an effective way of advertising the candidate to the people?

it is very effective but actually i don't like hearing campaign jingles specially those by the candidates running for congressman down to lower positions. i remember hearing our governor's jingle way back last election. i was so irritated by the hot weather and the jingle made me more uncomfortable. his jingle was to the tune of the Christmas song "jingle bells".

Election 2010 is nearly to come.It is very important that we voice wisely.you are correct in saying that jingle song is an effective way for the candidates.but still, we should not vote for a person who has good jingle song.what we should look into is a person who has no vices,a person who can lessen poverty in the phils.a person who can stop corruption.

I think this is an effective way to get votes from not so educated people. They won't look at what you have done or what you really can do. They will simple like your song and vote for you.

well for me i think this jingle strategy is very effective, it store to ones memory if he/she frequently here it, as for the best jingle maybe i would say the jingle of Sen. Manny Villar but for me it really does not affect me of who i will vote as president i still look for the one you have knowledge and skill and also guts to be our leader and to told you all i see all the good qualification to one of the candidates in the person of Gilbert Teodoro he is really good and smart he is also a clean person except that he is the official candidate of the current administration party but i think it does not affect his candidacy its only the less educated people who will not like Gibo but for me he really is the best one, for my VP it's Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay, well i guess i will vote our good Mayor
