How do you keep your shih tzu's hair straight?

What do you do or what products do you use to make theyre hair straight?

Oh I saw a good video in you tube about grooming a shihtzu. They use a lot of conditioner to make the hair smooth and manageable. They also use hair straightening iron to give the doggie that straight glossy look that you see in dog shows. So check out you tube on that.

I always take my shihtzu to a dog parlor once a month. After she's groomed she really looks adorable but after a few weeks her hair goes curly again. Do you have to brush their hair always so it wont curl back?
