If you homeschool, why do you homeschool?

We are going back to homeschooling after 3 years in Israel, at least for my 12 year old child for both social and educational reasons.

I homeschool my kids for several reasons. But in addition to homeschooling, my daughter also goes to a charter school three times a week, for two hours each time to take 2 classes. So she gets the best of both worlds. She gets the exposure to a regular classroom, but at the same time she gets the benefits of homeschooling.
I agree with many that schools these days are horrible and the kids in them are just such a bad influence.

I wish something like that was available here. I think it would be great to be able to have the best of both worlds.

There are many reasons why I have chosen to homeschool. One of the reasons is that my daughter is at least a grade ahead and in public school she'd be held back so that she'd be with her age group. As such she'd be bored and become a trouble maker instead of trying to learn something.

I home school for a long list of reasons, most importantly, because it is what's best for my children.
