Yep, I have witnessed one before. An ambulance which was speeding to bring a patient to a hospital collided against a car which turned round and round because of the impact. Luckily the driver was using a seatbelt and was unhurt, but his car was badly smashed at the side.

I see accidents everyday. Being in the fire department in the past and just being around in general I am put in the middle of seeing this everyday. You do also by reading about some kind of car accident in the paper everyday. Hopefully you become more aware of the consequences of not paying attention while driving whether you are distracted or what. I think there are way to many crashes. People need to start driving ahead of themselves and have a little common sense.

I've witnessed several accidents. I have also responded to many when I was with a volunteer fire department and was a first responder. It's good when the cars look worse than what the injuries turn out to be. But, they don't all end well. I've seen several car vs 18 wheeler, normally the car doesn't win, I saw a car that had been hit by a train also, there were no survivers, and it was the driver's fault for tryin to out run the train to the crossing.

I have never witnessed a car accident but I have seen few places after accident has occurred. Its really a nightmarish experience to see such accidents. You start thinking that only a moment's thrill can destroy whole life. Drive sane, drive safe. Speed thrills but kills.

As far as I am concerned, I think not only have I witnessed a car accident, but also have I experinced an accident last year near the new year's coming. I felt so depress about that accident that I have experinced. When I was just walking through the road, suddenly the car hit me on the road. Then I lost myslef with nothing in my mind.

Hello Shatila90, No i have never witnessed a car accident, but i have witnessed the aftermath of one (if we were just 10 seconds earlier we would of witnessed it) it was horrible, but the good thing is no one was seriously hurt just a few bump's on the noggin's, so we just dialled 000 and we were on our way after the police and ambulance were there.

I've never witnessed a major car accident. The only think I witnessed was a woman getting t-boned. But the speed of the cars wasn't that bad so no one got hurt and I don't even think it hurt either vehicle. I was two cars behind her at an intersection. For some reason she started to go across but there was a car coming. It smacked right into her side panel, but she was driving a big boxy mini van, so all it did was pop in her side and it popped right back out. I guess she didn't look both ways again to make sure it was clear.

Well, yes. I once witnessed a car accident when I was off-work and was on my way home. A car bumped a big truck, and consequently, both of the vehicles were damaged badly. It was at the rush hour and caused a serious traffic jam. I almost fainted when I saw the blood spreading all over the street. At such times, I couldn't help reminding myself of the importance of careful driving.

Whoa, that sounds scary.
I've never witnessed a car accident while it happened, although I've seen a couple wrecks in the process of being helped. I think it would shock and slightly traumatize me if I actually saw one happen. That's good that you called 911, I mightbe too frozen to do so if I saw an accident.

Sadly yes. I saw a car in front of me hit a boy teenager and kill him. Not something you would like to remember. The kid jumped out in the road on his bike and the car in front of me swerved but the guy still got hit.
Also, I witnessed another one because I was the one who got hit by a car, got stitches up my stomach from that.
Car accidents are not a pleasant thing.

I think it was so good of you to call 911. I dont know if I can call it like witnessing an accident cause I or we were the ones who had an accident and I was really upset at that time cause even though I was okay and I had only a scratch on my elbow, my husband was severely injured and no one helped us. I was the one who called 911 and I didnt know the place cause it took 911 a while to respond cause I cant give them the exact address where we had the accident cause I am not from that place. Good thing my husband and I were okay after 911 rescued us. Its just frustrating to think that some people are there and they didnt do anything but just looked at us.

Hi Shatila! Yes I've witnessed several car accidents that freaked me out. Good thing and thank God that nobody was hurt badly. I also witnessed I car hit a guy on a motorcycle. It was so hard, the driver of the motorcycle flew in front of me. We checked the guy out, he got several bruises, some broken bones but he's alive.

Not only have I witnessed car accidents, I've been in a few and been hit by cars a couple times. At first it was always shocking to see, but now that it has happened to me so much, I'm a bit desensitized to it, I suppose. Now when I see a car accident, I am quick to respond and see if both parties involved are alright, so I guess that's a benefit from all the things that have happened to me.
