is there a free domain?

hello guys? i'm just wondering, how can we find a free domain and free hosting? this is a question from the people who cant afford to buy a domain.hehehe. i been searching for it on the net but couldn't find one.i want to own a domain. do i really need to spent for this? can u suggest anything?

I am not really sure if there are. Usually there is always a fee. In my case, I have used two sites that offers hosting for free and usually its a sub domain. After developing the site and having good quality of traffic, I then paid for the domain. Perhaps you can try it out... webs.com and webly.com.

you don't wanna go with webs.com they limit your developement of the page unless your a good coder i suggest you do research for cheap hosting and link your domain to word press and your set thats when your earning begains

You cant get the hosting & domain here at free cost , Recently i got the hosting & domain here http://www.thewebpole.com/twp/domain-name-search/ at cheap cost , its good in service satisfy my expectations , why cant you make use of it & gain solution it will satisfy all your needs ..

The only sites I know of just offer sub domains.I use Tripod.com for my site.It's easy to set up and easy to get a site up and running.

Well as far as i know, the only free domain that some site can offers, is actully a sub domain. Sampe is www.co.cc . CO.CC offer you a free domain for your site, that is [yoursitename].co.cc although it look like a real domain it is not, since the real domain is co.cc, so you make your site a sub domain of co.cc. Still it is good good enough if you want to try. Anyway, not all site name is free, so check first how much the site name is worth. But as far as i know, most of them is free.
