hey all here in uk there are general elections coming up
are you going to vote ?
personally I don't think any of the main parties are doing themselves any favours was gonna vote lib dem but just found out that they are going to give all the illegal immigrants here in uk an amnesty and let them stay thats lost my vote straight away
labour I don't think gorgon brown is a great number 2 but don't think he is leadership material
and conservative I just don't trust them lol, as all they seem to do is attack the other parties as opposed to justifying their own policies
Looks like its going to be the ukip party so far as the bnp are far too extreme for my liking.
What about you guys and girls.

I did like what Nick Clegg had to say at the TV debate, but I agree that Gordon Brown was a half decent Number 2... (he was essentially sharing number 2 with John Prescott at the time, as after all, POrescott was the Deputy PM) but nowadays the Chancellor is usually 2nd place. Anyway, I am not voting for the top lot.
I am only 19 and so, this is my first vote. I personally dont like labour after all they ahev been through, although one or two of their past policies have been pretty good. Also, I dont mind conservatives, but dont get the numbers they are mentioneing, and I suppose, their history and overall weatlhy background doesnt cut it. And although, a year ot so ago I would have voted for the Lib Dems, I do like some of their policies, but do find them a bit Vague.
Me personally, I am really edging towards the Socialist Party. I just like the way they do thing, and what they have to say about young people and the fact they fight for young people and jobs.

yeah I know what you mean,
To be honest the most important factors for me is trust funds as I have 3 kids and am a single dad to them, what they going to do about helping businesses and the major one what they going to do about letting illegals in and getting the ones already here out.

Well for you, your kids are a priority and if you can get them in the right footing so to speak, then you can be happy enough that they will have a few quid to get by. But, I agree with illegals, although really the immigration is a total shambles, it really needs to be sorted. I don't have much of a problem with people coming here, but it has to be sustainable,we can't jets let everyone in. I don't have a total understanding of the EU but, this 'Open Door' policy is, thinking economically is foolish. Britain can't keeep being taxed to the hilt for the failures of the government.

well yeah I started a new discussion about being european or english etc etc and just think the free movement for work between eu countries needs to be sorted out so its fair and only skilled workers can come in and pay taxes etc etc
the illegals not just in the uk but in whatever country illegals exist should be policed a lot more rigourously and aggressively and to be honest the lib dems crazy amnesty for illegals is just openning the flood gates in my opinion.

Well, like yourself I was hovering towards the Lib Dems (even before the debate last week) but I have since found out that they are Europe mad and want us to join the Euro, the Silly Moos lol. Clegg was an MEP a few years ago, which may explain a few things.
I would never vote Tory in a million years. Mum calls Cameron "Oil of Olay Man" because of his slimy skin. He and his party have no substance whatsoever and are so far removed from the ordinary working man it's scary!
I have always voted Labour so I'm not going to change now, even though they have done stuf in the past I've not agreed with. A lot of it has been good, however, including the Hunting With Dogs Ban. I was ecstatic about this at the time as it's been a long time coming...and the other two parties want hunting "regulated" so that's that I'm afraid!
I also think there won't be as many public sector cuts under Labour (but I do know there will be some) but, due to my Mum and brother still working for the Council I will always support the party that is best for them long-term.
I didn't agree with Brown selling off our Gold Reserves cheap though, that was an extremely stupid thing to do.
I do think everyone should vote though (that can vote) as I get really annoyed when people say "Nothing changes...I don't believe in politics." Well, if you don't vote then nothing changes does it? That's the way I look at it.
