This story was kinda funny at first but not so much now, Life Link III landed their helicopter with a patient and left the laptop on the landing pad or gear, an honest mistake when they took off again. The laptop fell to the ground missing the boy. Life Link quickly responded and retrieved the laptop, was very apologetic, and of course FAA is investigating it.
How ironic the device or agency that helps people in a real emergency almost caused their own emergency. Thoughts?

Lol. This is ironic. What would happen is the will save the boy's life which they caused trouble on in the first place. That would have been a dumb mistake. Lol.

I know right, The funny part is that the FAA is investigating it the incident. Okay , lets look back on the facts, there was an emergency, the laptop was left on the gear or something, the heli took off the laptop fell and hit the ground. There was no malfunction, just forgetfulness in an emergency.
I am glad to hear the child did not get hurt or we would reading a tragic story of irresponsibility. Thanks for your response.

Thanks God it did not cause any accident. They should really investigate on the matter although it was an honest mistake, it can seriously hurt somebody the next time. People should be alert in but we are only humans so i guess proper procedure should be done to avoid this incident to happen again.

Exactly, I am glad that the boy is okay, but what a story he had to tell on his day back to school. The outcome could have been detrimental if it did hit him at that speed and force. Thanks for your response.

hi newtalent I know accidents happen all the time but it would
not have been funny but tragic had the laptop jot the boy.
moral to this story is that even paramedics should exercise
more care than anyone else in order to avoid such dumb
accidents .

Wow, that little boy is very, very lucky that he wasn't one step closer to where the computer fell. He would have undoubtedly been the next person taking a flight on the Life Link helicopter. I hope that as the investigation of this incident is completed that there are no charges pressed against anyone because it is just an honest mistake (and luckily there weren't any truly disastrous outcomes). Think of how many times we are getting into our cars and put something on top of the car and then just forget about it.

Right, at first I thought it was funny because what are the chances of this happening? But true they needed to be careful and it was an honest mistake, no one was hurt , just learn from your mistakes and move on. No one can changed what happened but, we learn from our mistakes and move on and not waste precious time and resources to figure out it was an honest mistake.
