How do you see the world in 100 years?

Humans love to look to the future. It's in our nature. However, most of us, including myself sometimes, don't have a realistic view of the future. We imagine that the world will be brimming with technological advances and medical miracles. Flying cars and nanotechnology will be the status quo. Taking into account the digital revolution and the leaps and bounds in science of the last century, you may very well be right in thinking these things. So here I would like us to have a discussion of what we think the future will like in 100 years. Nothing is off limits as long as it fits into the bounds of your imagination.

I think that in 100 years or so, humans will have, as you said, very advanced technology, like cyborgs and flying cars and a food maker (automatic), an advanced form of a cell phone, a superstore within a superstore, a robotic playground, buildings made of steel that can withstand wind, rain and hail, and many more that even I can't think of. The medical advancements during the last 100 years are very amazing, and I hope that with an advancement in medicine every 2 or so years, there will be many new forms of medicine, and many new diseases. Someday, we will find a cure for HIV/AIDS, Cancer, and other non-curable diseases.

Some of your predictions are actually not that far off. For instance, Nokia is currently developing a phone they call the Morph, which is constructed of nanomachines. This phone, which is expected to be available within the next fifteen years, has the ability to change shape at will and blend in with it's background, as well as being completely liquid-proof and scratch resistant. It is highly flexible and durable. I suggest watching the concept video on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IX-gTobCJHs

I do not know, lol. May be we will have space elevators, or may be we will have nothing. There have been so many changes happening in the world that it is hard to tell.

I can't imagine at all. maybe that is because i am lack of reading news or something. But maybe in the future we can live in another planet since this planet is not longer enough for the whole humans.

Yes in a hundred years there will be likely flying cars and cars driving themselves while you can read, sleep or eat. I think that people will be more isolated then they are already. I think many things will be conducted by robot type features. I think homes will be plain in color and simple. I believe a majority of homes will be all solar energy and completely green. I believe cars will not require gas anymore. I believe the computer will be able to accomplish even more stuff online then we do already. Such as, making deposits and withdrawls from your bank but online.

It really depends. I think it will be more high tech and more trees. People are getting to the point they are willing to plant trees. Hope this will be true. Or it will be like hell in the world.
