What class is your favorite? Is it because it is interesting? Or is it because the class is easy. Do you like the teacher because he/she is exuberant? What makes something a favorite class for you?

There are a lot of interesting subjects that I have taken that have been brought down by subpar teaching. And a good teacher can make a subject that I might not be as interested in, make it a bit more interesting. Of course, there are certain things where it would not matter the type of teacher, I will either like the subject, be indifferent to it, or not be too fond about the subject. However, the teacher does play a big part, as the subject is only as interesting as the material that you learn and how the teachers decide to use it.
With that in mind, History tended to be my favorite subject. Of course, that is a subject that either people like it or do not like it. However, I found it to be interesting enough. I guess there has been a lot of good teachers that I have had in this subject. However, the subject matter is interesting. Still history in all of its forms has been a key highlight of my week.

I agree with your first statement that the teacher does really make the class. Exactly, the teacher can portray the material in an interesting interactive manner which captivates the students or in a boring dull manner which puts the students to sleep. I, and I assume many other people prefer the former.
I also enjoy history and I believe in fact that it is also my favorite subject. I just think that history repeats itself and that it is so interesting learning about past achievements. We cannot say that there are still people who use swords or any of the like, unless we include movies as fact. Yay for history and I hope that history repeats itself in a good way and not a bad way. Do you agree that history repeats itself?

I also like math subjects. It's okay to not write down notes. And there's no need to memorize a lot of words to pass the exams. All you need to do is understand how it is done. Basically what makes me like the subject is the subject itself and the teacher.

I like maths as well. It's one of those subjects that really sharpens your mind. I love using analytical thinking to solve those problems, since with many mathematical problems, there could be varied processes but there's always be one exact answer. Math teaches you how to make use of your analytical thinking to arrive at a solution, which can be applicable in real life, even if you don't have to deal with numbers.

It seems there are many math fans here. =) I used to be good at math in high school, before pre-calculus, after that it was all down hill. Statistics mind boggled me. I agree that math can be a good teacher of analyzing the situation and seeing how to solve it. There exists more than one way to reach the goal, it is like that in life. There is more than one way to reach the finish line, however there are many wrong turns. Sometimes people have to go back and fix their errors in order to arrive at the right answer.

When I was at school (back in the dark ages) I loved English, History and Art. I thrived in these subjects because we were learning about things that interested me and in both English and Art we were able to have more freedom to express ourselves. History on the other hand was just fascinating and I went on to study both English and History at a higher level because I loved them so much.

That's cool how math and your teacher made people proud of you. That is what you mean right? I think those who can do math are smart. Math can be very difficult for some. I, myself have not even barely scratched the surface of calculus. It still gives me shivers thinking about it. =)

What did you specifically learn about computers? You mean how to type or do you mean different programs like Microsoft Office and all its components? Or did you learn how to Photoshop? I cherish the computer class that I had in high school because they forced people to type without looking at they keyboard, thus forcing me to memorize the placement of the keys, which allowed me to type faster.

What do you mean your teachers do not teach you the way you want to be taught? How do they teach you? How do you want to be taught? Can you elaborate please? What subjects did you enjoy the most?

While i was in high school i had a couple of favorite classes, but one that stood out among the rest that i liked.
I enjoyed and liked my dance class. The teacher was young and up to date on the dance styles. He had danced in many ballet shows in New york and Miami. He new the right way of doing things and i enjoyed learning new things in that class as well as meeting new friends as well.
Dance is a passion of mine as i danced prior to the dance classes i took in high school.

My favorite class when I was in colloge was my anatomy class. I liked it cause I liked my teacher. She was really strict and a lot of my classmates didnt like her. I like anatomy cause I get to memorize the different parts of the body and their names and function. I had good grades in that class. They said that learning is a teacher factor and that if the teacher is too strict then students will not learn but in my case, I learned because my teacher was strict.

Many times people like the class for the teacher. There can be a really interesting subject but with a bad teacher, which will end up ruining the entire class. That's interesting how you enjoyed a strict teacher. I, personally never liked strict teachers. I guess strict teachers do really make you do your work, thus receiving the desired result of getting good grades. Good job in anatomy. =)

Well my favorite subject is recess time. I like it because it the only time I can enjoy the food and eat. Together with my classmates and chit chat with our crushes
Just love it, but seriously I like physics. I dont know why I like maybe because at that time I am the only one who passed in our class all of my classmates failed.

Recess time was not a subject. Lol. I hated physics in high school. I had to do some questionable things to pass that class. One time the professor caught everyone cheating, as he allowed everyone to grade each other's papers. The next time he collected them and he found many F's as a result. Physics mind-boggled me but that's cool how you excelled in it. To each his/her own. =)

Hey again setsuna. I'm not sure if I have congratulated you yet on earning your blue star. I'm not sure if you'll get this post but if you do, I hope to reach you someday.
There seems to be a lot of math fans. What kind of engineering field did you get into? Are you working in that field right now?

i liked mathematics during my high school. Actually i'm not that good for the first two years but everything changed when a cute-teacher came to the class to teach us math. She is so small and cute which that time i believe the class must be bored. For the first hour, her voice was going up and up since there were 2 or 3 student able to do math. That time i felt so scared if fails to answer her question correctly. Since that day, i forced myself to do exercise everyday after finish school. Finally, i got an A for math in my final exam. Until now, i love math. I love the teacher whom being fierce to me...had raised up her voice to me...wherever she is, i miss her so much.

Wow I can't believe the teacher raised her voice to you guys and inspired you to do well in math. That truly is an inspirational teacher. I like teachers that affect us in a positive manner and help us learn and succeed in learning. Good job and keep up the good work in math. =)
