Popping your knuckles

Despite the fact that there is no real evidence that doing this leads to any lasting medical problems, I have decided to quit popping my knuckles. Has anyone out there successfully quit doing this? If so, any tips?

Yeah I have the habit of doing that also but I heard that there is some kind of a problem that can happen to you later in life if you continue to do this over and over again. But, I think if you do it just to relieve your tired hands there is nothing wrong with that. I even see when you go to a massage parlor that they even do that to your hands as well. I guess this makes your hands relieve after you pop them.

It's a pretty serious issue with me. I've gotten to the point where I'm doing it every ten minutes or so. I've asked a lot of doctors and read quite a bit on the subject, and have come to the conclusion that it doesn't do much to hurt you. However, I figure the amount I do it cannot be healthy.

So I guess its the habit that is really bad and not the popping of the knuckles. So far I am not into that habit of doing that on a regular basis. I do it from time to time unknowingly.

I used to do it too but now when I started doing is squeezing my fist really hard every time I tried to pop a knuckle. if you are really serious about quitting you could also get someone to punch you every time they see you popping knuckles this method helps you to quit anything from cussing to smoking or anything because it hurts when someone punches you and you want to be hurt

The problem is that I live alone and work mostly online. I hang out with friends a few times a week and see my girlfriend daily, but this still won't be enough to help me quit. Luckily, I have really strong willpower. I'm pretty confident I can do it.

I like to pop my knuckles. It's like i'm stretching them from being still for a while. I don't wanna quit it cuz It's like a habit to me already.
