MY gmail was hacked from China

Last Night my gmail account was hacked from china and all kind of mails were send out from my account. i don't know what else did they do with my account but I am scared to use my Paypal ,credit card and feel like deleting all my internet activities.
Can someone help me to take the precaution to avoid these hackers from access t our accounts.

In the first place, how did you arrive that your gmail account is being hacked and not due to some carelessness of yours to fall for some phishing scams on your gmail mails?
Then, how did you know that your hackers are from China and not from other countries including your very own?
I hope you have your facts in order before you make indicative posts like this. There are many hackers all over the world and they would not be bothered to exploit an insignificant target like yourself. So, it is not right to make baseless allegations and cause unnecessary disputes.

Maybe he has the proof but is reluctant to share on how he got it, because it might give ideas to other people. Nevertheless you do have a point, in that he should give a fair idea on how he arrived at the conclusion. As it is his statement can be easily misinterpreted.

Thank you very much for the update, this is the first time something like this happened to me online and I am pretty much scared , I have reset my password and scanned and quarantines the virus which was found in my pc and hope now it doesn't get hacked again.
