Why do you like tattoos?

well, i really dont like tattoo... i find them so untidy to look at.... that is why i really dont put one...

I have three professionally done tats and two I did myself in high school. Of the three pro-two are roses with no symbolism-just cover ups...the third is a dragon drawn from my apartment wall graffiti and it symbolizes two things-that particular time in my life and a past love-he has the tiger, I the dragon. The two that I did myself are just silly things-a snake and a messed up looking flower.

Some people think that they are an expression of something, some get them to belong to a group or a gang, some people think that body art is beautiful, cool, or makes them look tougher. Sometimes tattoos symbolize cultural or religious affiliations. Some people get them out of some goofy notion of love and devotion and get a name or some symbol of their love tattoo'd on themselves. There are hundreds of different reasons and motivations for getting tattoos. There are different styles, colors, and even types of ink. I know a couple of girls that have invisible tattoos done with ultraviolet ink so that they only show up under a blacklight, but you can't see them in any other kind of light. Some are beautiful, some are fierce or cool, or they commemorate an event. For whatever reason people like to decorate their bodies they are decorations. For someone to decide to permanently decorate or adorn their bodies the symbol or image must mean something deeply important to them.

At first, when i got my butterfly tattoo back in 2008, my first, the purpose was to overcome my extreme fear with needles. Later on, i found it cool knowing I am the envy of my circle of friends. THey think I am brave. Lol. My butterfly tattoo also expresses my love towards butterflies. I am actually planning to get a new one.

Oh vinne i agree that when you get a tattoo you show your attitude or you wanna express yourself. Tattos can express personal, artistic or meaningfull messages for the owner of the body or it can be a characteristic of a person;)

i like them, i got two. but i will only get tatoos with meaning. one i have is for my mom and then the other is for my kids.

No, no it's not that one like tattoos to expose. I think tattoos are very beautiful art and one an wear it anywhere. There are a variety of designs and colors to choose from, which helps to add to the positive benefits of tattoos. Many people like the temporary tattoo because it can give them an idea of where they would want a more lasting piece of art. I personally don't like it to wear because having a tattoo could cause various risks. One should consider carefully before deciding to get a tattoo. Thanks.

Tattoos are a great form of expression. I do not have one myself but I like to to see them others. Smaller tattoos are more fascinating to me than bigger ones. The artwork and inspiration are usually more unique. The only thing about a tatoo is that it is a constant reminder. You have to decide how dedicated you are to your tattoo.

I am okay with tattoos, I know quite a few people that have them and have looked over for jobs, and I tell people to just know what you are doing because they can inhibit from attaining some of your goals if tattooing is frowned upon. I had also had friends that contracted stuff from the artist. You cannot see behind you and that is why you bring someone with you. Tattoos can represent a lot for a person. A special time in their life, a thing to do because everyone is doing it, etc... If I were to get one , it would not something everyone is getting or has , it is lame to do that. I would want something that is different and maybe have it displayed in a magazine or something showing the artists work.

Depends on type of tattoo. Some tattoos may attract other people's attention, but there are many tattoos, which I don't like at all - for example, tattoos on the face. I think that they make you looking ugly. Tattoos made on the other parts of the body are attractive. Personally, I haven't yet, but maybe in future, I will make my own.

in the past tattoos were used to tell the story of the one wearing them, as far as I know. Today they serve many different purposes, from intimidating, decorationg, and expression. I like the tattoos that are used for story-telling and decorative. I've got an oriantal character for dragon on my chest and soon I'm getting a tribal looking dragon on my shoulder. If they're done right its a very impressive art form, :)

I think you should have also added Do you like tattoos to your discussion. Personally I dont like tattoos and I also dont like persons wearing them unless I know the person from before they got a tattoo. It might just be a prejudice but it is like that. I dont think this will change anytime soon.

I get tattoos to express my feelings about certain things, or to remember things, or to commemorate things. Not to look cool. In the tattoo community, we despise those who pick things off a wall and get it tattooed onto their body. All of my tattoos have extremely personal meanings to me, and I have thought long and hard about each one before getting it. You must understand that it's really going to be there for the rest of your life; so make sure you enjoy it and it means something to you before you put it on your body.

I am no fan of tattoo. It is the in thing now among the younger generations who have their own special reasons to sacrifice the pain of the needles pricking their raw flesh just to be in seen with the latest trend.

Well I don't know why I like guys who have tattoo coz I think they were hot for me. I think they are really men or sometimes it really appropriates to their looks and style. I also have two tattoos, I have one near on my butt and the other is on my boobs, well I just like it coz I think some can be attracted to it, I guess so.

Tattoos are not my way of expressing myself - I consider it as a way of expressing stupidity and non-steadiness.

well well, I have not such a good opinion of the tattoos. specially because they were originally designed to mark slaves as cater. but I have nothing against it. the only thing that makes me make fun of some tattoos is some people who get tattoos with chinese or japanese kanjis... believing that they know the real meaning of them and sometimes I saw some people getting funny words believing that it means something else.

Some people tend to have a tattoo for them to be recognized. If I could get a tattoo it would be on lower back. The lower back tattoo is a wonderful way to highlight your personality. Usually, a body tattoo will be designed to show up the curve, beauty and shape of the female figure.
