I know, it's kind of disappointing isn't it?! I wouldn't get too upset though. When you look in the list of new discussions note that on pages one through 5 maybe all were posted in around the same time frame. It's always possible that nobody even really saw it yet. One thing you could do to up your odds of getting your discussion seen is to make friends and add them to your friends list. That way it'll show up in the 'discussions my friends started' list, and it will have a beter shot at being seen and responded to. Welcome to myLot! It's a great little community here and I know you'll make a lot of friends, with common interests, along the way!

I guess anyone who experiences it will become dissappointed. But as time goes by you will realize that it does happens. It may happen to newbies as well as to "oldies in this site. how to avoid them? Invite friends who have the same interest as yours. You should also be active in participating to other members posts. When you post or respon to someone else's discussion, most of them will usually participate in your discussions too.

Welcome to mylot, diogo, That happened to me when I started at mylot. Your posts get read for more people when you have made friends, when you tag your posts and when you have more interests. Start by answering posts you are interested in to make friends and little by little you´ll get more answers. Luck and take care!

hi there, I will try again next time! It happened to me a lot of times before...LOL.. but after a day or two I started receiving some responses. I think that is the best part of putting up a discussion in here. People might bump into it and share some views one way or another. At first, I'll be sad because I know me, I make sure to create a sensible topic (hahaha! as if!!...just kidding!) I mean, I might create a boring discussion but I still hope someone would care to respond on it. It was like, talking in the middle of a busy market with people just passing by. I don't like that. But then again, mylot has a wide varieties of topic and people might go for a discussion they like and I'm cool with it. Happy Lotting!

That happened to me like many times already. I always expect replies every time I make a discussion but there were several discussions with no replies. I feel like it is not interesting enough and it pushes me to make more interesting topics.

It would be very disappointing, but then I would realize that maybe it was the content of my discussion that discouraged others from responding to it. I haven't had any of my discussions with zero responses as of yet, but there is always the firt time. I would just have to accept it and go on, and try again another day to get responses to another of my discussions. There just isn't anything we can do to get others to respond, as they will only respond to ones that are interesting. I do the same thing, as I think most of us do. I hope I never get that, but if I ever do,then I will just deal with it. Good luck to you and happy myloltting.

Yes, I have had that happen a few times before. I will start a discussion that is in my opinion very interesting and thought-provoking but it will get few responses. I expect that I would get less responses on my worse discussions, but it seems that the most interesting discussions I make don't get any responses. Of course, that could just be me.
