I realized this morning that I woke up in almost the identical position that I feel asleep in, on my left side. That started me wondering if other people do that. I know I turn over in the night cause I usually wake up at least once to get a drink of water or use the bathroom. And quite often I am not in the same position at all. Last night I slept all the way thru since I had a very busy day, I guess my body let me sleep better than usual! Do you sleep all the way thru the night? And do you fall asleep in one position most of the time or does it change?

I find it near-impossible to fall asleep unless I'm on my right side. I've slept this way for as long as I can remember and feel wierdly-uncomfortable if I'm in any other position. I know that I do change positions throughout the night, however; because I have a habit of kicking my blanket off my bed. As for sleeping all the way through the night; yes, I do. I never need to use the bathroom or get a drink of water until morning.

I like to sleep turned to my monitor, and watching some interesting on TV. I use to sleep lie on my hand located between my head and the pillow. I hate to sleep on my back. Maybe if I am drunk or stoned, I can fall asleep in this position, but I don't like it.

Lucky you to sleep thru the night! I can't remember the last time I did that! I agree that if I try to fall asleep in a different position, it just doesn't feel right. And I am a blanket hog or so I have been told, I hold firmly onto my blankets. Kingsizewe- I'm with you. I never can sleep on my back. Never wake up that way either.

I tend to sleep on the sides, both left and right, in which I will try to adjust myself until I find a position most relaxing. During sleep, somehow I would end up in the normal supine position. Sometimes I drank too much water before sleep and became disturbed in the middle of the night with the urge to run to the toilet but the other half of the body told the brain it's too tired. Now I try not to drink too much fluid before sleep, no coffee and no supper, so the body can have a deep, undisturbed sleep. However if the weather is hot, I tend to keep turning around in bed. So you can say I do not have a fixed sleeping position.

When I think about this conciously I realise that I do have a favourite sleeping position and that is on my right hand side with my knees curled up towards my chest in the fetal position! However, when I am sleeping I don't know what happens! I know that we tend to move around in our sleep so for all I know I could be changing position and sleeping on my back and then on my left hand side or perhaps even my front! Correction! If I was to sleep on my front then I'm pretty sure that I would wake up immediately as I would not be able to sustein this uncomfortable position for very long! I rarely wake up during the night these days so I sleep like a log and I'm so grateful that I do! All said and done I always get a good night's sleep! Andrew.

Yes, I do have some rituals. My toes should be covered with a blanket or any fabric.

As far as I am concerned, i think I do not have a speacial position that I sleep in my bad. I think it is nothing to do to influence my body health. For me, I just sleep the position that I fell so comfortable for me to sleep. But when I get up from bed, The position of my sleep place will usually changes a lot here and there. I think I can not make sure the place or position is.But I sleep so well in the night time.

I would not get even a wink of sleep until I hug my pillows firmly against my chest.

When i was younger i used to like to sleep on my stomach with my head buried under my pillow. Now my favorite sleeping positiion is laying on my right side. I have to be careful though not to roll out of bed doing this. I have never been a fan of sleeping on my back. I jut have a hard time getting to sleep that way.

Well we cannot notice whether we are changing position at night when we are at deep sleep unless we are not. I think it really depends. Sometimes my wife told me i am always moving from side to side when we are sleeping but i did not know it at all, maybe the body is looking for a very comfortable way for us to sleep.

My favorite sleep position is curling to my side (usually left) while hugging my pillow. For some reasons, I feel uncomfortable sleeping flat on my back. When I wake up, I usually either have the same position or another. And yes, I sleep all the way through the night without breaks.

I always like to sleep on the left side. That's the only position I can sleep right away. I tried to sleep in another position but its difficult for me to do that. Sleeping on my back isnt comfortable to me, sleeping on my stomach is worse cause I usually cant breath if the case is like that and the right side isnt good too. I dont know what's with the left side, but I really like sleeping in the position.

I dont have particular position for me to get to my sleep. I sometimes would move from left to right then sometimes lay on my stomach. I am so restless when I am sleeping, so I expect that all my pillows will just fall from my bed because I am like a helicopter as my mother describe it.
