Humidity will often help ease a cough. If you have a humidifier or vaporizer, you should run it in your baby's room. If not, you could try giving him a warm bath, holding a warm, wet cloth over his nose and mouth so he can breathe through it, or having him hold his face over a bowl of hot water with a towel over his head and the bowl to make a tent to catch the steam. Just make sure the steam isn't hot enough to burn him. If you have or can get any peppermint tea or peppermint oil, you can put a bit in the water and it will help open his airways.

Simple aid as drinking water and lying him on a high pillow may help but dry cough is really hard for a toddler it is better for him to see a doctor to avoid complications as well. You see a baby's immunity is not that resistant as we adults have. Hope your baby will get well soon.
