How I earned $6,517. This is a true story. :)

Hello everyone! I've been around MyLot for quite sometime for extra money making reasons, and I'm pretty well aware that a lot of us here for the same purpose. I thought of sharing what I've been up to for the past 2 weeks, and gladly share, without purpose of bragging, how I was able to earn $6,517. I'm just really glad that this happened to me. :)
So just a background of me and my background (you may skip this part if you want since I'm pretty much aware that my life is a bit boring). I've been really patient as well as hard working when it comes to earning extra bucks. I just graduated from college this March and since I plan to get a job 2 or 3 months from now, I decided to explore various means of money making just to get a few extra bucks to sustain my lifestyle and give my family a little bit of stuff. I'm an average post-teen-pre-yuppie girl, who enjoys doing a couple of things like eating out and traveling with my family, grabbing coffee... things like that -- and yes, it can be pretty costly. To be honest, I'm from a pretty average family, but my dad is the only one who works, and so far he is able to make ends meet. We are 5 in the family (and I am the eldest) and what he earns is what sustains us, our need and our wants. Sadly, my mom has cancer, and her medicine and laboratory exams cost a lot. Since I don't want to add to the burden of having to ask money from them, I try to earn it on my own.
I also don't know how much time my mom has left. She loves traveling, and I thought that it would be great for us to travel abroad before her time comes. But she always tell us that the traveling expenses might as well go to her medicine, and the food we eat. That made me cry so I decided to earn the money by myself.
That has been my primary motivation to earn.
So yeah, this is probably the part where my online money making comes in. I thought it will be easy, and the money would come in fast but it didn't.
Just recently my mom has been released from being sponsored by this certain pharmaceutical company. Hence, we have to pay for all her medicines, check-ups, hospital bills to ourself. I realized I didn't have enough time so I decided to explore another avenue to earn, so I decided to try the stock market. I decided to handle old stocks, like really prehistoric ones even older than me.
She said it would be useless since our stocks were only worth P0.63 (that's in Philippine pesos, so if you want to convert it to dollars you have to divide it further by 40). But my drive to have my mom and my family travel prevailed, so I decided to sell the stocks, no matter how useless it seemed. I fixed papers for days and days, having to go to various offices to update stock certificates and to submit papers, and having to study stocks and the stock market since I knew very little of it.
But yeah, I guess when your reason to earn is for a good purpose, blessings come. I was told that the 18,650 stocks we had that initially worth 0.63 pesos per share has grew to become 14.00 pesos per share. Imagine that. In dollars that's pretty much $0.02 to $0.35. And there, 18,620 shares x $0.35 pretty much makes $6,517 dollars.
My mom became really happy with the outcome, so I decided to give her the money with the condition that she spends it on things she wants. She was happy enough and she decided to give me a share for my hard work. And yes, we are gonna travel soon yey! :)
So there. That's pretty much my simple story of how I made $6,517. I realized that when one's purpose to earn is for others, the motivation is stronger, and the blessings come in faster. I just want to share my humble story.
Many people have said that with a proper goal and mentality, you reach whatever goals or aspirations you have. Mine was simple, and in my young age I am proud to have reached mine and to have given my mom this gift. I don't know if the saying holds true... because in my case, love, genuine purpose and selfless determination is what makes dreams and goals do come true. :)

And you make me emotional my dear... I am so glad with you... you are such a blessing to your family! I am so happy to read your story, and you know I got some good lesson from you! Bravo my dear... that's a big money and you gave it to your Mom... that's wonderful, now you are thinking all about her... I am so touched with your story, I pause for a moment to think about it again... I am not so interested on how you earned it because I have no idea about it so far, what I am so delighted at this very moment is your great motivation and love to your mom and family. Like you I love my Mom so much and I will always do something to make her happy! Spend the days left with your mom with happiness and love my dear friend... I know that God will give you more gifts! I am so happy for you and expect my prayers for your Mom...

Aww, thank you so much for the very kind and heartwarming compliment, prime. I know a lot of us has their own motivation to earn in order to achieve and get material things that money can buy. I believe that having to earn for someone else's happiness is a lot more transcendent, and a lot more fulfilling once goals have been achieved. I'm pretty sure a lot of us here are doing the same too. Again, thank you so much for your kind regards to me and my family. God bless and thank you, Prime. :)

Hello Kafueenu! Yes, there a lot of "blue chips" out there really worth investing on. I was surprised with how ours turned out too! Imagine from 65 centavos each it became 14 pesos! I'm not really good and an expert with stocks but I'll be glad to help you with what I learned in the stock market and from my brokers. You can earn a lot from it, since you can buy stocks and sell them the next day when their prices go high, or keep them longer and see if prices still go up. A lot of people say it can be risky too though, so be sure to get a good broker and to always check the newspaper to see the latest prices.

I know that is true. Say would you mind sharing a little about how did you decide that particular stock was a good choice? would you mind sharing the ticker label?

Hello climber. I have to agree. The financial crisis has really hit a lot of us and has made earning difficult compared to before. I also realized that earning online doesn't suffice, that's why I too decided to take a step in the real world and find other money making opportunities.

That is great news! I'm happy for you. I did think this was one of those earn online things and you were going to turn me to a website that asks me to pay for the information. I'm soo glad it wasn't one of those!
I am sorry to hear of your moms illness. That is a very nice surprise that she is able to have some money to spend whatever she wants to spend it on.

LOL, yeah, the ones that says pay $7 first before I tell you the secret of how I made thousands of dollars? I hate those kind of gimmicks! LOL.

You had an inspiring story dear and I'm glad your motivation power is your mom and I am also sorry that she has a cancer. You are right when it comes to our love ones we will sacrifice and do everything to help them. We would climb high mountains just to get what we want. You are young yet were able to help your family big time.
I just want you to know that you are an inspiration and one day I would like to write my own story too like yours. Don't know when will it come to me but I can certainly hope it will be sooner.
Keep up the good work.

Your story is truly inspiring and May God bless your entire family. How is your mom doing now?
It is said that when a person firmly believes in something and keeps telling it to him/herself, then the power of auto-suggestion can make amazing things happen.
It does make sense. We start working in the direction of our goals and nothing can then stop us. You know what they say, God helps those who help themselves.
The fact that you had faith is all that mattered. This is really wonderful to know.
Stay happy!

Thank you so much cbee. :) My mom is doing well, she's really thrilled with what happened and now I'm trying to help her sell and handle some of her other stocks. I have to agree too with what you said about auto suggestion. It is what I experienced in my endeavor for my mom. Regards and god bless you too, Cbee!
