Do most gay couples do things for mere publicity?

I have a gay cousin and have been out to dinner with him and his partner on several occassions. While I admit that they display a degree of public affection that I wouldn't necessarily be inclined to display, they are not actually doing anything more than most heterosexual couples do when they are deeply in love. I feel that the love and esteem that a gay couple have and hold for each other is no less than that of a heterosexual couple. I think that any look that stems from a feeling of inapropriateness definitely says a lot more about the passers-by than it does about the actual couple.

I think anyone who would do that in public is for publicity's sake. They're like trying to convince people that they are in love because they themselves are not sure. One question I would raise is: "If you truly love someone, would you humiliate him/her like that in public?" I mean, if you're doing too much PDA, people will talk behind your back, people will bound to react - and these reactions are not the positive type. Would you want your partner to be humiliated that way if you truly love him/her? I don't think so.

I know a celebrity gay couple who have been so open to the public about their relationships- people respected them as a couple and look up to how strong their "love' is. My previous boss was a gay too and he had a lover, or a boyfriend and they are doing very well. Not all gays are just for fun relationships, most are also looking for serious relationships - those that is binded by love. After all, more than anyone else in the world, they too crave to be loved wholeheartedly. I think you just have to look at them and understand how they are feeling - they couldn't be aware all the time that people are paying them attention so they are in for the "show". I do not like gays, and gay relationships simply for the reason that i am a Christian and I believe there are only straight people in this world. But I cannot and will not condemn them as a person. I intend to try not to be so malicious when i see a gay couple, or a gay person. Let's just open our eyes to the realities of life, and we can't control these people... we can only control ourselves, and our thinking...

See there are some straight people who do such a things for attention, publicity as well.As gay are already controversial thing in may countries they catch attention easily i think.Thats the only difference. Yes there must be some couple who are in real deep love and they are just doing it as naturally.

I haven't seen one here. If what you really mean is they look like they're doing an adult rated movie then i would say that it's really inappropriate. I would have to say something about it if i saw one like that.
