That is the first thought that is coming into our minds when we hear dos barking at night but I think are doing that because they need something or they saw something that might cause harm to his owners.
Maybe they want to tell something to us.
PS: While I am answering this question, I can hear a dog barking outside. Time check: 1:45 am. It is scaring me..=|

the dogs that bark at night in the town are telling other dogs what is going on as you will listen you will hear a number of different barks, each dog has a little different bark.its like a dog hotline.

I think it is because that dogs have keener senses then we humans do in many ways. They see things, hear things, and smell things that we might not sense in the night. They bark to warn potential threats off. They will be able to sense those things and thus that is there way of trying to access something completely. It is more of a warning to things that we might not be able to see in the night.
Of course, this really depends on the dog. There are just some dogs that are noisy. They like to bark at every little thing. Perhaps it is just to assert their dominance and their domain over the situation. However, there are many dogs who just bark for the sake of hearing themselves. Very similar to humans in many ways, as there are humans that talk just to hear themselves speak as well. Still it is a very interesting thing to think about, exactly the reasons why a dog may bark.

I don't know why dog barks at night! Maybe they are bored? Or they might be afraid? They might try to gain their owner's attention. It can be boredeom because they lack companionship of their own master. It can be lack of exercise, they need to run and get tired, to get exhausted and sleep during the night. Here is a good article I found on the net about this subject.
Dogs bark for several reasons and the best way to deal with barking is to understand why the dog is barking. Now if it is a neighbor dog you may have no control over the dog. In this case, you can try talking to the neighbor. But of course, they probably don't know what to do. Sadly, excessive dog barking is usually a result of a failure of training. But convincing your neighbor to train the dog not to bark is a tough sell.

Yes dogs are sensible for spiritual activity.
But, mostly it is just the noises of the other animals, like mice or insects that make the dog bark.
Rabbits and such.
Cats and most animals are sensible for spiritual beings.
But, like I said, normally it is just another animal making some noise.

hi kawalsukhi oh thats known to me as the town bark. Its sort of like a people's hot line. One dog talks to another who then communicates with a third and forth and they send messages all around the town. I would love to know what they are saying if we could turn dog's barks into our own language.he he. I have never heard that about souls but could be,I know dogs are really smart and they do communicate with other dogs too. My husband I think it was who came up with the term, the town bark, but we used to listen, when my hubby was still alive, and we did hear a lot of really distinctive barking so more than one or two dogs are involved in this. I always called it the dog's hot line.

Dogs can bark for many reasons. It could be another dog (war for territory), cats, rarely humans or something else to make a dog bark. But particularly that should be caused because of the darkness - as we the people do, they do fear of darkness - dogs are sociable beings and don't like to stay alone, especially when it's dark outside. Other reason would be flashing lights or car noises - I have a dog myself and it hates seeing strong lights in the darkness - they are irritating for it and could cause fear, which it expresses in the same way - barking.

you know, I don't guess we have any way of knowing if canines can see into the spirit world. I have heard that animals are much more sensitive in those arenas but as to what they see or not I don't know. I know that their hearing is much more keen than ours and they may be hearing things that don't register in our hearing.
