Do you want to have snow in the Philippines? I think it would be awesome if we have snow during cold seasons. Since I was a kid, I am hoping to see and touch snow falling from the sky and they will soon cover the trees and roof of our house, making layers of snow blanket on the ground. I also want to have some snowball fight and make a snowman. =) MyLotting while sitting beside the window and staring outside counting snowflakes..
Do you want to have snow in the Philippines? if so, WHY?

Yes, ofcourse, I wanted to experience what other countries experience too. It's very exciting if snow falls in the Philippines but I'm having thought how cold its gonna be?

HI deejgeek. I would love to have a snowy season in our country for me to experience wearing really thick jackets and other accessories needed and I want to play on the snow with my family and my wife. I think it's going to be exciting and a lot of fun if that happens here in the Philippines.

yeah I would love it. aside from the cool cold weather, snow would connect all the islands and it will be fun to hop from isle to isle,
It will dissuade squatters because their shanties will be erased or covered with the killer now..
But this will force the government to provide them with permanent dwelling..

I found your daydreaming of snow in the Philippines discussion very interesting deejgeek. I was just in the Philippines last fall. I can't imagine how much different my trip would have been, had there been snow while I was there. I don't think that I would have enjoyed it too much. LOL
The rain was difficult to deal with when I was in your country. I arrived there just before the 'rainy season' started. (That was how it was described by the people that I met there.)
I guess that people in other countries don't realize how lucky that we are to be able to enjoy all 4 seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. We just think how wonderful it would be to live in a tropical place like the Philippines.
Perhaps, some day you will receive the opportunity to visit the United States and experience all 4 seasons like we do. I do believe that you would enjoy the snow the first few times that you see it. But after that, it can really become a nuisance.
By the way, I would enjoy the snow a lot more if I didn't have to try to drive to work in it. LOL

That would be so cool! Haha! The heat will easily melt the snows and it will be wet all over the place.

it might be fun to have snow for a while and just enough to be able to make snow angels, snowmen, maybe have a snowball fight and go sledding. but then again it would not be fun to have to shovel our driveways/sidewalks and scrape snow/ice from our cars to be able to go to work/school each morning. roads will also have to be cleared and kept safe. the white snow eventually melts and turns a slushy muddy brown :(

i thin i disagree. because if there will be a snow in the Philippines. there alot of people will suffer. because when i was in Japan last January. Winter is very hard season. its really cold. you have to wrap yourself so hard so that you can protect yourself for so much cold.

Due to climate change, it has a low or may be an average possibility.
Well for me it is a no. Even though i want to see snows everywhere, I can't imagine how other people specially less fortunate people or people sleeping on streets will face this kind of season. Well yes it is fun but there are plenty of animals here that are not used to it and it may also cause them to leave the philippines or worst they could even die. I suggest if ever we have a snow fall in our season, it would nice if it only happen to those places where cold season can be sustained. Yes snow is fun but snow can be also a threat.

Definitely! I also want to see and feel real snow. It would be awesome if it will snow even for just a day. It should be during the Christmas season so Filipinos can make snow angels and snowman. But who knows this might happen in the future, with climate change rapidly seeping through, snow in the Philippines might just come true.

There are a lot of things you should know before wishing to have snow in the Philippines. I am a Filipino who lived in Norway for some time. It is fun to play or be in ice but it is not a laughing matter. If ever it will snow in the Philippines then i am pretty sure millions would die because most do not have the survival knowledge regarding winter season. We only have two seasons here. And the roofs of our houses can't stand with the heavy snowfall and ice.

i think its going to be fun to have snow.. but not too much... I know we all have the "white christmas" dreams in our minds... but then.. reality would always sink in to my mind.. and i am contented with the current weather in our country.
you know i think we are lucky that we don't have snow here! snow causes a lot of car accidents too you know, you have to change tires for the season so this means expenses! you also need to make sure that the drainage system in our country works very well, otherwise.. what happens to us when the snow melts and fills our houses and streets! its going to be a disaster.

That would be the fun side of it but looking realistically with our situation I guess there would be more people who will not be in favor of that. First our houses are not built to withstand snow. We would definitely die there because our houses are not built with proper insulation. The next thing that would happen is our farmers would suffer the most. They could not plant during these season and definitely they will be jobless for the duration of winter.

Snow...in Philippines? that would never happen in reality. Maybe when we were kids, we can just dream of it because we don't know much about weather and our country, but when we get older and face reality, Philippines will never have snow, even in the coldest part which is in the C.A.R.
It was really fascinating for me to think of snow because we never experience to have one, but other countries experiencing this specially heavy snow fall do have bigger problems to face. I don't think I can wish for snow in our country. I can just visit other country which has snow but will certainly not enjoy much when it falls heavy already. So about your question id i want to have snow in our country, my answer would be NO. I am already content of its tropical weather condition. Happy Mylotting.

Yes deejgeek! It would be great if we also have a snow here in the Philippines, unlike this past few days that we are experiencing too much heat. For a change i want to have snow in the Philippines because it would be very nice to feel the coldness of the atmosphere, while you do your usual stuffs and not get irritated by sweat and hot weather. I will love to prepare foods that will be very suited to the coldness of surrounding if that would happen... Have a nice day!
